    I once emptied a 40yd skip on the floor of the company I was supposed to be collecting it from, as the wouldn’t pay for it. He’s said there was no money on site and the rubbish was now my companies problem. If I wanted to take the skip I had to take the rubbish too! He wasn’t laughing when he realise he was wrong!!

    Piss takers. Just get another skip. Everyone winges about paying for waste away, but it's got to be done and when you think that lot in there was about £260-£300 for 6 yds that's a good deal. If you had to take that in a van you'd be sorting metal to the scrappy, rubble to the free rubble tip, wood to a green waste, then still be left with glass, plastic and all the other stuff gets thrown in. You'd have to stack it up somewhere, load it in your van, then run it out to these places and unload it. Take two days. If they'd offered him £30 he'd probably have left it on, but those kind of blokes can't see it, they just keep s t r e t. c. h. I. n. g the rope until this happens. Good on the man.

    Additionally, why do channels put "autoplay" on? It does nothing for me, and is just sad to see that some people have no clue as to why "autoplay" should be off by default. They should get loaded into a mini-skip and carted off to the "overused settings everyone turns off" refuse drop-off point, IMO.

    Solution is either send a larger skip, another skip to get them to transfer to or simply leave your skip there until they empty it.

    • @BizlaC
      @BizlaC 2 года назад

      @@cbuts9240 Well think of the fees, £120 per day goes to the driver (if they are paying properly), another £100 per day at the other end where the skip is dropped off and sorted, then you have fuel costs which is easily £100-£150 per day, admin costs, additional staff in the office, maintenance on the truck and gear etc... the actual profit per skip going back to the owner is not as high as you might first think. I don't know the exact profit per skip, but I know that the customer would spend about the same to do it themselves with a trailer, doing multiple tip trips and spending all day long travelling to and from the tip.

    The easiest way would be if it was written in the contract that if the skip is dangerously overloaded. They will not collect it and will charge to return to collect it when it’s a safe height. They have clients card details so could easily and legally charge.
