This looks like early morning, no one would offer to come move there car so he could pick up the skip but I bet they’d all be out if one of the cars got hit.
@@troo_story Although you are correct it has a nasty little barb by spelling it incorrectly, don't you think? Like everyone watching from 'there' armchair is thick.

He had a plan, he stopped, he checked, he checked again, he lifted it, no damage, yes others would do it differently or faster, but hey as long as it gets done, and you get paid, jobs a goodun.
It's always the same, there are those who do the hard yards while others sit in comfort and watch. The driver showed dexterity and intuition to surmount a challenging situation while OTHERS would have refused to lift it
I had one same the other day car at back of skip had no fuel the one at the front of it a flat battery. I hooked both on the front took the weight pulled forward a touch lined right up. Newbie too mate, guess we all start somewhere.
This skip drive has Patients to do this I seen skip driver I know do something like this most skip drivers would not bother well Done to this driver 👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
And I bet there where plenty of curtain twitchers ready to pounce if a car got hit but do naff all about moving their cars for inconvenience of losing a parking space...... and councils think people will change to electric cars that in reality need either driveway charging or at least roadside assigned parking spots 🤦🏻♂️🤣. Councillors are the ultimate useless armchair warriors Great job that skip man, and much respect for not being bothered by being filmed, I know plenty of people would have moved on and left the pick up for another time minus the resident David baileys
I would have just rang the locksmith and asked if he could just move his van a second, no doubt he would have been happy to free up a space to make his parking easier.
Not going to lie I'd have took a photo and moved on if no-one would move the cars for me and I've drove skip motors for nearly 6 years credit to the bloke he got the skip but the risk was well above the reward
Used to be a skip lad myself..amount of times had to f* about doing this lol If there's room Put 1 chain on opposite side of skip,,lift arms and it slides out. Lift skip. No need to drive round.
First of all recording him like that is rude a he'll and second of all if that red car is yours or the van then yes move your bloody car..pulling bins around like that puts stress on the arms and can brake them
I would have knocked lots of doors first and even hit the horn, works well when trying to drive a 26 tonne bin lorry through awkwardly parked cars and if that didn't work well you would have no choice but to try and maneuver the skip into a position that you can then get it on the bed of the truck.
It's funny that I parked in front of a skip like this the other night, and I thought in my mind, I hope this doesn't get picked up before I'm awake they'll never get it out. Then this video is in suggested. These phones are literally in our minds now reading our thoughts. Try it. The more time you spend on your phone the more it can read your mind. Front camera possibly?
Depends on the company and any driver who is good at his job who doesn’t drive away when he sees cars parked an collects or delivers his skips will be earning more at most companies the driver in the video clearly isn’t lazy others are and drove off that skip collection is what happens on a daily basis some worse than others
The guy is dragging the skip across the road, which can damage the surface and puts excessive strain on the hydraulic arms. Even more so since he fails to deploy the rear jack arms !
I hire many skips every month being in the building trade, this must have been the guys first day on the job it was like watching paint dry, imagine if it was a swap over skip
Drop the chain on the front left corner screw the skip round and he's got the advantage of having telescopic arms and he wouldn't have needed to turn around my old dad used to do the same job and he never had the advantage of the telescopic arms I mean credit to the driver but he made a bit of a mountain out of it getting it out
This time he got it right because of the low weight of the container. I understand that drastic situations need drastic actions. But what if it was filled with debris. At our plant in Holland we rent these skips and it is because off actions like these in combination with heavy loaded containers and sometimes incompetent drivers the booms get often damaged !
Or even chains broken. On the company I was working on a few years ago, one of the drivers had to drag a skip out from between parked cars and because one of the cars had blocked it in, he had to drag a heavy skip, on one chain, which failed. The force of it breaking caused it to flip around and hit the parked car. The car was written off and the owner tried to claim, but it was on private land, not parked in a designated space and obstructing access to the skip, so he got nothing. It's lucky though, that no one had been standing in the way when the chain failed.
How to make a pigs ear out of a pretty simple task!! Although my new Scania has remote control so it makes stuff like this a doddle!! Although cant do it with too heavy a skip.....arms prone to bend on the new Scanias!!!
It's so annoying when you're in a sticky situation and some bugger starts filming you! That's added pressure he could have done without! I drive skip lorries myself, chain lift like this one and 32t hook loaders. Personally, I'd have knocked some doors and asked politely for a car to me moved, if nobody wants to move their cars, then the skip would stay there! Nobody wants to help, but they all want to complain!
shame someone parcked that red car by skip.driver did a great job, good skills .i wish i was there to help him.please tell me this dosnt happen to him every day.

Sorry, but... I used to drive a skip wagon and that was rubbish. Chain on the wrong lug for starters. Second, never drive around with those chains dangling. And don't wear trainers on this job, you'll hurt your toes sooner or later. Glad he got it out, though.
He made it so hard why did he not just use the drone fly it up in the air drop 4 chains and fly off to the skip yard that's what I do now I sold my lorry and just work from home with c19

Fair play to the skip driver 👍🍺🍺
In Northern Ireland the people would have been out moving cars to make his day easier an even offer him a cup of tea for his trouble.
🍀🎩
In Northern London they will come out and squeeze a few scooters into the gaps when to make it harder
What's the point, he did it without inconveniencing others...hence the video. And those cars could belong to people a street or two away.
Great 👍
Poor bugger, what a time he had. Wonderful chap
Lots of armchair experts on this one
Thank you
Well done to that guy done with out touching a single motor
As you would expect in a 20 mio city
Forgot everyone is a skip expert 🤣. He done good he got the bin out without any damage that’s the main thing
Aww it's nice to see a new skip driver trying. I bet by now he'd do it properly.
I've been at it 14 years .I would have just put chains on front lugs and lifted it it would have straightened up

I have to question why I am watching this at 2am in the morning
Probably because there’s a lorry outside dragging a skip across your road. 😂😂😂
Watching at 3.10 am. Was waiting for chain to fly off skip and whack a car.Glad it didn't happen though.
