- Rimworld's Vanilla Expanded Devs just came out with a new faction mod that expands the role of PIRATES and adds a lot more depth to them. However, with this mod also comes A TON of easily broken mechanics that revolve around these pirates. Today, we're going to be using them to create a near infinite profit machine with an unlimited amount of colonists such that we effectively cannot lose.
I love the Vanilla Expanded Devs and this mod is astounding in the amount of content it adds! I mean no ill towards the fantastic developers with the creation of this video and the pointing out of breakable mechanics. We love your stuff Oskar!

You don't need to do all that zooming in or the meme spam. It just makes the viewers dizzy, and the spiffing brit is not popular for that. He's popular for doing random things in many games.

If I remember right there was a Russian general who actually learned sooner that hey throwing people at defences like ammo and using the same predictable tactics is a bad idea
I'm seeing a pattern here with lopsided trades in mods.
Getting that "This will anger you" message reminded me of similar things happening in other games. The best one was in CK3, where my character was very impressed by himself, somehow gaining prestige by doing so.

Lmao I got this and the AVP mod at the same time I thought the war caskets were part of AVP which made zero sense to Me, I really like new factions pirates added, just more people for Xenomorph sacrifices.
For the record the AvP universe has its' own version of warcaskets that are even more unethical than the rimworld version, courtesy of the comic series.
Still wish I could worship or play as the xenomorphs..

Imagine entering the ancient ruins of a cave only to see hundreds of kidneys and lungs in the floor.
Dude it’s just like the Jagged Alliance strat where you hire the top-tier mercs with their top-tier gear, take the gear and cancel the contracts immediately, incurring minor costs for all that grand weaponry.
There should be a minimum hiring period. In which if they have any non combat related things happen it incurred a massive penalty. And you should occasionally get your “hired” pirates stealing from you too.

That special heavy armor sounds like a starcraft 2 marine, they lock death row prisoners in and weld their suit shut, and dump them on the front line as meat shields
The turret can't be reload it because CE is incompatible at the moment with the last VE mods (dryads, pirates). So, guys, it's time for Yayo's combat + the other combat mods
It's also explicitly designed to not be reloaded. Description even says the ammunition feed is scrap and you can't reload.

VE Ancient is fully patched..? When I install that mod, my pawns doesn't spawn everytime when I play new colony. When I uninstall it, it return to normal again.
@@satriorama4118 try unsubscribing/resubscribing, sounds like you've got a corrupted install, or you're trying to play with something else that isn't compatible. if that doesn't work look at the debug logs and see what red and yellow warning signs the games been screaming at you. also might simply be your load order.

This kind of reminds me of that joke about the statues being given an hour of life and they choose to get revenge on pigeons and shit on them, every Rimworld player has had overwhelming hordes of tribals come for them, now you have taken to their filthy hordekin tribal ways and swarmed the world. You also can use those pirates as your main food resource (well, if you know what i mean) you just arrest them with your toughest pawn, harvest them, then kill them and butcher them (10/10 one of the best lavish carnivore meal source)
Well then you will get a penalty of all future pirates costing a lot more

I think the main issue with this mod is that you can't really control pawns from other factions/settlements. If they manage to do something about that, this mod would probably work a lot "better", or at least more as intended, since doing anything would anger the faction you hired from, instead of angering your own faction, which is basically just... meh.
I think the closest system they can mess with would be the Prisoner system, or maybe from the Hospitality mod, since in either, we can't really control the prisoners or guests. If they expand on it, they might have something that works more in what they actually want. But, then again, they also need them to fight for us, and that's going to be a lot more tricky.

I think with the whole pirate mercenaries mechanic they should make a cap on how many you get hire at one time and you have to research tech for higher pirate cap size and also make it so if a mercenary dies you get some kind of penalty maybe to the cost or hire size cap size for so many days
