Everton have had 2 relegation battles in the past 20 years. Maybe a third if it continues this season. Last season they were 12 points above relegation with a 10 point deduction. 48 points won. So it was only the 2 seasons prior to that which were bad. This season was supposed to be better but Dyche has made it worse. He's a pound shop Big Sam and will spend the rest of his career emulating him. But above all else, Moshiri has killed a club that was a European regular for well over a decade. However, it won't take much to change it back. This league is bang average. Emery, Moyes and Howe all took teams in relegation battles into Europe. You just need a decent manager and little bit to spend. Which the new owners can provide soon enough.
I'll give Moyes some credit for continuously managing to get Everton in the upper spots of the table, but for the length of time he was in charge (10+ years) he really should've bagged an FA Cup or Carabao Cup during his tenure. I still find it staggering that Ancelotti was manager of Everton at one stage 😮
Big evertonian all my life but quit watching them after the 3-2 loss to Bournemouth earlier this season. My life has improved massively without it . I may pick it back up again when dyche goes but may not, being a fan has been painful the last 10 years
Sean Dyche’s objective is to ensure that Everton enter their new shiny stadium as a premier league team by any means necessary! Nothing else matters at the moment
Finally people are realising how bad of a job Dyche is doing he needs sacking as soon as possible the media have been praising him all year we have won 7 games since December 16th last year unacceptable and the football is horrendous
If dyche wasn't English these pundits would be saying get rid of him...take the psr stadium rates punishment this season because Everton are going down anyway..
Everton are a famous club that has a million miles just as much history or future potential as media darlings. The problem being is the ownership (and I include the late Bill Kenwright in this) has been lowering standards on a yearly basis for too many years We are now being fed spin that Sean Dyche is somehow working miracles when he is a piss poor manager that has relegation battle stamped all over him. Clubs like Bournemouth, Brighton were an afterthought 10 or so years ago, no recent history of too flight football but they are clubs that have been run by proper people with intelligence. Kenwright, Moshiri and everyone else that has been involved at the club have been snake oil salesmen. This club has huge potential when it moves to the new stadium, it's about time someone came in and did something worthwhile running the club, start by removing the most dour pragmatic manager I've seen in 42 year of watching this football club
Everton are the Underpants Gnomes of the Prem. The entire club plan seems to be: (1) Cling to Prem football until the new stadium opens. (2) ???? (3) ...Succeed! But, as lovely as the new ground may be, I'm not sure how that plan is actually supposed to work.
Everton have a long ball manager who is afraid to commit to full on long ball football. We are stuck with this hybrid where we go long to DCL but noone gets forward with any conviction to support him. We are so intent on keeping a clean sheet that we don't pursue scoring goals with any conviction. Dyche always played two big CFs at Burnley but he won't do it now. When you play Dyches way you have to win games. It's the only way it's palatable. He's not. We are not going to accumulate many more points in 2024. We are in a relegation battle that we didn't need to be in.
No money average squad. As I keep saying, 3 teams have to be relegated its basic maths however talksport will still hound out those who are expected to struggle and push for internal change before they move on to their next victim.
In fairness to Dyche he’s not had much money to spend. Everton’s forward line is one of the worst in the EPL. Would another manager really get more out of the squad?
Exactly this, every single PL team has a better goalscorer than Everton do. Southampton have Brereton Diaz, Ipswich have Delap and Szmodics and Leicester have Vardy, all of who score more goals than DCL.
I've been going the match since the early 80's when we ruled the 1st Division with the best team and the best manager and every now and again we've had some bad times..!! But under Dyche this is by far the absolute worst football tactics and playing style I've ever seen..!! Kick'n'Rush football (A throw back to the 70's) Dyche has one plan A and has no clue or ideas about how to change the way he has the team playing..!! Roll on the Friedkin Group takeover and the sacking of Dyche before he gets us relegated for playing dinosaur 🦕 football...!!
Everton are genuinely one of the worst teams in the league, I’ve never seen a team look as shocking as them. They circle the drain every single year, their aim is 17th every year. They don’t have an easy fixture until 1st February
New ownership wont fix that and if any Everton fan thinks it will, they are so badly wrong. The rules in place now will just not allow them to meaningfully invest. Death spiral they will never get out of
New stadium is sold out just like goodison, new major sponsors in play and more coming so huge increase in revenue. New owners bringing big investment, need a manager to steady the ship and rebuild… Moyes
@@mikeconstantinou-g1w will make absolutely zero difference in next 3 years. Stadium will be costing the club a fortune in intetest and repayments, extra 23000 fans isnt for free. Newcastle currently are miles ahead of Everton in terms of matchday revenue, sponsors, commercial income and these crazy rules still forced us to sell 2 very good young players. Everton first team and squad is poor….you will never generate the money required quickly enough to improve as quick as we did. We were very fortunate Ashley had refused to spend for 14 years. Everton are club surviving relegation every year they should get Moyes back to stabilise them back in the top half
