My son jus turned 21 (a sophomore n college)n u have inspired him to go out n help the less fortunate n the disabled. We watched this video about 10 months ago together n the words u spoke reached him n struck him at his cord.there is a young man about 17 that moved in with his mom next door(who works all the time) he has muscular dystrophy n his dad was killed in Afghanistan 5 years ago so its jus him n her.she has been struggling to maintain n he is much bigger than she is.my son quickly found out that they have a lot in common n that he is very bright n very much an average teenager jus wheelchair bound.my son has been helping her with him n had found out that he has learned more from them than he has taught.he was inspired to volunteer at the day camps for the disabled and the shelter.so thank u for ur compassion,empathy but most of all the message u r sending to our youths!💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

My husband was born with mild CP and could do most of the stuff the other kids did. As an adult, he became an attorney for the govt, owned a sailboat, drove, skied (very well) and of course walked. As he was approaching 70 his mobility started to go downhill, but nothing yet has crushed his beautiful spirit. Thank you for celebrating these 2 special people in your life. :) (heart)

When you read the back story it becomes even more because you realize it took 15 years of VERY HARD work that his parents, especially his mom, put in to train a blind, autistic child how to behave properly after discovering his talents. They did not allow him to act like an autistic child but very lovingly, gently yet firmly, corrected bad behavior to mold his behaviors so he could even sit still long enough to play a song. It proves that today's parents have not done their job. Congratulations to Kodi for his performance -- but don't forget the family that encouraged and supported him the whole way.
I liked your reaction. I also can relate to what you said because I was a caregiver to a wondetful, awesome and sensitive man Benjamin. I was one of his careworkers and he had Cerebral Palsy as well. He passed away last year at the age of 33. I have learned so much from him and miss him dearly. I keep in contact with his mom to this day. So, I can really relate to what you are saying.

I liked your reaction. I also can relate to what you said because I was a caregiver to a wondetful, awesome and sensitive man Benjamin. I was one of his careworkers and he had Cerebral Palsy as well. He passed away last year at the age of 33. I have learned so much from him and miss him dearly. I keep in contact with his mom to this day. So, I can really relate to what you are saying.
