Ronsonol lighter fluid works great on duct tape residue, Have to keep it soaked for a couple minutes, but then wipes off. Cheaper than brake cleaner. Have you tried Miracle Paint? Its expensive but works great for things on outside like wheel wells.
Miracle paint doesn’t do miracles. I promise you. Oil and grease do🙂
