History of Adventureland Theme Park Long Island NY

Adventureland Farmingdale NY has been my hometown park I went to as a kid and needed to go back and check it out today. There are some awesome facts I never knew about that I talk about here. I know i butcher some names, forgive me XD

used to go a lot as a kid and worked there as a teen. in the mid 2000s . I only remember going around once on the Hurricane. Also at night we would all run once the park closed and park the bumper cars. I have fond memories of the feedback in the speakers everynight as the closing music played.

Great job Matt! And a great service to Adventureland! I had the good fortune to work there in the late 70s and I can tell you for a fact, the town came up with an ordinance that we were not allowed to have any more rock concerts after Twisted Sister. 🤣🤣 Have you seen the movie Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore? I'm sure you would love it and quite a significant portion of it was shot at Adventureland.

Nice video! One thing that I still wonder about is the evolution of its mascot. I remember at one point it was a clown type character in the mid to late 2000s. (Featured on the admission bracelets)…The theme song for the park too. Who recorded it & its development?
