Hi Kelsey. I realized one of the things that I really love about your videos, which is how you handle obstacles - calmly and always moving forward. Your calm and soft demeanor, with conviction to your vision, are inspirational just by themselves. Reading other comments below, obviously I'm not alone in thinking this. Your videos are filled with not only great techniques, but also demonstrating the spirit that I think you really need to have to DIY or just handle daily life. Thank you so much!
Kelsey, I realized you made your sink measurement based on the lip of the sink and that was why it was too large. You problem solve very well and I would definitely not let it beat me. You are talented enough to improvise the situation. Can't wait for the final reveal!
When life gives you lemons 🍋 you make lemonade! Your project will be awesome because of your perseverance and positive attitude. 😀 Thank you for sharing and can't wait to see your masterpiece. 🏡
You rock! We all run into or make issues. You didn't give up! You made it work and didn't waste materials. I am going to the next video! Can't wait to see the outcome!!!
I love how you problem solve - mistakes happen, so it is how you handle it that makes it so much fun to watch. Yes! Don't let it beat you! Keep going! This is just a bump in the road and the end product will be so worth it.
I was glad the nail didn't go into your foot. My son just started a new job and his first day out on the floor he stepped on a nail. He's OK. Thank you for showing that things don't always go as planned. The same thing happens to us when we work on projects at our house. Don't give up, you'll be so happy when the project is finished.
Hey friend. You're doing a great job! Don't get frustrated with yourself. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you deal with them that matters. You already have the sink, you're making progress on the countertop, and the epoxy will make a big difference in its sturdiness; plus, it's what you really want. Don't doubt your gumption. Keep moving forward!! I have every faith you will figure it out. See you next week!!
Hi Kelsey, I’m so impressed with your bathroom makeover and I think you should just keep going. I have faith in your ability to redo anything so don’t change your goal. Can’t wait to see how it turns out
You're definitely a girl after my own heart, never throw in the towel!!! Your work is incredible!!! Love your transparency when mistakes happen. Even the pros make mistakes!!!
I say keep going! In the end, it will be the end result that counts and you will be super proud of yourself. I am so sorry that you are struggling, but as a viewer it is so helpful as we learn with you. You are very inspirational and I was look forward to your videos: not necesserily for the result, but for the journey. Lots of love your way.
You never cease to amaze me. I love that you share the challenges that come up. You do a great job trouble-shooting. I can't wait to see how you resolve this. I'm hoping that you get the undermount to work. Speaking from my own experiences, I hate when I put in a lot of work to keep costs down and end up spending as much if not more than had I just bought what I wanted. You really are talented. Thanks for sharing your home and your briliilant ideas!
I admire you for keeping on the journey with this countertop. Not everything always works out the way we want it to but pivoting is ok also! 👌 You got this girl I can't wait to see the result!
Enjoyed your video. Your content on the kitchen countertop & makeover, backyard and bathroom diy are helpful for me and what I want to finally tackle this spring and summer in my home. Thanks for the inspiration and final push that has helped to realize I can tackle those type of diys. 😊
Thank you for showing your little bumps in the road on this project. I get so discouraged and give up, but you showed me on this episode to think brainstorm, power solve for a solution (which is what I would tell my kids to do). Another great episode. Can’t wait to see it finished!!
Keep going Kelsey.....you always work around a mistake and make it look like it never happened. Me.....I would sit on garage floor and cry. Lol......Well trufully I would never even attempt. You are something else. Blessings ♥️
If it were me I’d probably switch to a drop in sink, but I am not at your level of skill. I definitely understand wanting to win the war lol! I’m sure it will be beautiful either way. Good luck to ya! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
One of my favorite mottos is “never settle.” If I have an idea that I really want to make happen, then it’s go-ahead time. After watching your videos and seeing how you address challenges Kelsey, I think you’ve got this.
Hey Kelsey! New sub here with much to learn. Definitely fight through it because everytime you look at it, it's going to taunt you.. best do it the way you wanted it, put your mind at ease🙏
Bahaha 🤣 that was sooo me! Anyway…. 😅I have no idea which I would do…. I’d probably just get a drop in… or call my hubby in and ask him…. 😂😂😂 but knowing you, you aren’t getting a drop in 😂😂😂
You are doing awesome! I know it is frustrating when things don't go as planned....that happens to us all the time! You keep up with your dream...I know you can problem solve this too! Have a great week!
I watched your hall remodel and loved it! Can't believe you're doing a bathroom next. That's what I'm doing in my house at the moment. Following you closely! Don't throw in the towel on the original sink plan yet You've put too much work into it
You should keep going with what you have. You’ve done all the work and I think the router idea is a great one. Do it the way you’ve envisioned it otherwise you’ll look at it for years wishing you did. It will take more time but you’ll be happier. I too have had to fight with a project but that’s what makes diy fun in the end. ❤❤
Kelsey, I give you waaaay more credit then Me!! That board would of been air born out da garage door!! Like how dare it have trim nails sticking up & jump underneath our feet!! Stupid board!!!🤣🤣🙏. Great job as always, Dirty Jersey out!!
IF it was me.. and I threw in the towel and did not do the under counter sink that I wanted… EVERY TIME I looked at that drop in sink… I would be frowning and so unsatisfied!! I would always be saying… I wish I had done the under counter one! It would bug me to no end!! So stay the course and persevere and you will get the sink you are visualizing!! You have encouraged me to tackle some projects of my own!!
If you have your heart set on an under mount sink, then you should go for it. If it ends up not working out as you planned, you at least have a plan B with a top mount sink. 🙂 (So glad the nail didn’t go through your foot! Happened to me and I ended up going to get a tetanus shot!)
@ Kelsey Romito DIY, You made me feel better. I made a mistake on a project today. It was slightly crooked and took time to correct it. I wanted to kick myself.
Persist!!! Also, I’m a nurse and work in wound care-get those boards with nails off the floor! Lol (And if not make sure you’re up to date in your tetanus shot)
You had a couple of rough days there. Don't give up. Continue to think things through and problem-solve. You are so good at it. The "Q" word is just not you! See you next week. Cathleen
Size of board, I would have done the same thing to make it the length you need. I am making an epoxy countertop island that will have a sink. So you and I are awesome. Girl power! Nothing like having your own creative print throughout your house. My jig saw did not last long btw. That sucked because these projects need one! Great job btw!
I still do not understand why the need of a new countertop. The ones that you have seem to be corian and in good shape. I have the same ones at home, I just put a new vanity and new faucet. Take a look at this video where they also keep the countertops ruclips.net/video/1UxyFTd5XzU/видео.html&ab_channel=HuntingforGeorge
you scare me everytime i see you cutting and sanding mdf without wearing a dust mask especially when indoors. If you do what everyone else thinks you should do it compared to how you want it, a few weeks down the line or maybe even the next day you would regret not doing what you want which will then double your expense as it will niggle you so much you will have to go back and do it how you want, of course you would have learned from the mistakes of the first attempt. The curse of the diyer / measure twice and cut once.
As a cancer survivor who five years later has very little eyebrows and next to no hair on my head, let me say that you never know the reasons why a person needs to draw in their eyebrows. Please be kind and stay in your own lane.
Go for the look you want; it may be frustrating to get there but the experience makes it worth it. myself, I would take time away to re-energize to finish. did many projects like that. I have one, sitting for a year now waiting, maybe when the weather is better I finish it. You are an inspiration. 🦾😀
Do the sink as you planned it! You’re the boss!

Thanks so much! It’s definitely important to be able to pivot when things don’t go right in diy.
You pivoted beautifully.
Kelsey, I realized you made your sink measurement based on the lip of the sink and that was why it was too large. You problem solve very well and I would definitely not let it beat me. You are talented enough to improvise the situation. Can't wait for the final reveal!
You have such tenacity Kelsey. I wouldn’t throw in the towel. I would do exactly what you are doing to fix it. You are an awesome DIYER
Thanks so much!

Don’t let the sink beat you! Our biggest growth comes from our biggest mistakes. You are better and smarter than that sink.
Thank you for the encouragement!
You are so awesome! Thank you for sharing how you fixed things. I make a lot of mistakes and then doubt myself. This was super helpful!❤
Glad it was helpful!
Go for what you want it to look like, that way you’ll never be disappointed

Thank you! You too!
You can do it Kelsey!
Way to troubleshoot! Watching you makes me delusional enough to think I can try some of this! Haha. Keep going. I am watching and learning. Thanks.
🤣🤣 thanks so much!
Don’t let this sink beat you! I want to see your vision😂
I would definitely use a drop in…. I’m looking forward to seeing your final results!!!
I watched your hall remodel and loved it! Can't believe you're doing a bathroom next. That's what I'm doing in my house at the moment. Following you closely! Don't throw in the towel on the original sink plan yet You've put too much work into it
Perseverance is a great quality. Good luck! :)
You didn't show whether you've accounted for the faucet in your sink placement?
I did account for the faucet. I will drill the holes for those after I epoxy.
Keep going girl❤
I think I would have go back to Lowe's buy another piece of wood lol bravo for being more stubborn than me
Haha I definitely thought about it!
Wow girl, I would have to just order a countertop! Epoxy scares me!
I epoxied my kitchen countertops and they came out great! easier than I thought it was going to be.

You have encouraged me to tackle some projects of my own!!
You are so right! Thanks!
Lol😂. Kelsey, I would have taken my sink to a stone yard and bought a remnant piece of granite or marble. Then have them set the sink. 😅
Definitely considered it. I got some quotes but it was more than I wanted to spend.
If you have your heart set on an under mount sink, then you should go for it. If it ends up not working out as you planned, you at least have a plan B with a top mount sink. 🙂
(So glad the nail didn’t go through your foot! Happened to me and I ended up going to get a tetanus shot!)
Enjoyed
@ Kelsey Romito DIY, You made me feel better. I made a mistake on a project today. It was slightly crooked and took time to correct it. I wanted to kick myself.
We all make silly mistakes no matter how long we’ve been doing projects ❤️❤️

Great job btw!
I epoxied my countertops in my kitchen and love them! But this is my first time doing an under mount sink.
@@KelseyRomitoDIY you're doing great!
I might’ve gotten too frustrated, and did the drop in sink, but then would’ve kicked myself for not beating the mistake I made.
Yes…I would continue…unless you change how you want it to look
How come you just don’t buy a prefab piece it’ll make your life easier 👍🏼😉❤️🇨🇦
Because I’m having a hard time finding one with an offset sink
Please wear a mask when cutting MDF it's really horrible to breathe in that dust. 🙏
Good advice

What is wrong with you?
well that’s rude…why don’t you show us your eye brows 🤣
