~ Love it Guys .... love the Doggy too ~ The Tree and Plants look GREAT - the Porch Addition is coming along . Look forward to more - God Bless and Stay Well ~ Toni ~ 🪴🌲🌱🌻🌹
@carlbrunecke8644 thanks, Toni! We really want to replace the outdated metal railing and add plant boxes but I don't know if we will get to that before winter (gets really cold in WI lol) Might have to wait until spring 😅
Love your DIY update. I am worried about the expensive tree planting. The trunk of the tree needs planted above the dirt. Root ball should be level to ground. If you plant trunk below dirt can cause trunk to rot and kill your tree.
Good job it looks really pretty,…..when you plant the tree or any plant put water in the hole befor you fill in all the soil so water will be underneath the roots, otherwise it might not get way down there where it’s needed if you just water afterwards. It looks soo much nicer now, good job!
Very creative design for widening the porch. Extremely nice job! Also, when planting new plants gently loosen up the roots by rubbing your hand around the roots. Then add a tiny bit of fertilizer put the plant in the ground fill with water give it a few minutes to soak in then add the dirt. Everything looks gorgeous! Beautiful transformation! 😊❤
You can't deny a man his tree! Just happened upon your video and like to see people doing such a lovely DIY front porch stoop! That's what my parents called it! Job well done and the pup approves! Never be afraid of trying new plants in your landscape. Read the tag, know your planting zone, and add fert. when planting. Follow watering needs of each plant. Gonna be gorgeous!
For future planting projects, always fill the hole with water first and let it drain. Then add the plant after a good watering and back fill. Add a little more water and mulch. Water at least once a week for the first year. Also add bio tone fertilizer in the hole when planting. You won’t be sorry. Gayle
@@JessStaysHome Water it about twice a week with a hose laying on the ground and the water barely trickling so the water travels all the way around and down instead of flooding it with water. Maybe an hour. The new plant bushes as well. In the future, fill the hols with water first and let it seep into the ground.
@bettyabbott1957 totally agree!! I hate the outdated black railing. Going to update the railing in the spring. Ran out of time this summer and soon it'll be snowing lol (Wisconsin)
At least those kids are having fun outside ❤
Love how the kids play hard.
The tree truck needs to be at ground level and water at least once a week thoroughly. No mulch around the base of the tree trunk.
Very nice work. The tree looks happy that it was chosen. 😊.
Love that your dog blessed the new tree 😆
@@bobbipetty7411 hahahahahaha "blessed it" made me loo
Love how you opened the bag😅
Hahaha it was a little extreme 😂

Thank you! Front porch stoop is totally fitting! I'm going to adopt that 😊

Thanks for these tips! We don't have much experience with keeping plants alive so I really appreciate it!

Animal pee will kill your trees
Move the mulch back away from tree trunk. Dog pee is not beneficial to plants. Wash it all away and put a barrier to prevent a repeat. Nice job 👍👍
Keep it watered lots always

@corzcordez1803 wow, all the way from the beautiful Philippines!
It would look great if rod iron rails were replaced with wooden rails.
