Watch her final winning performance of "Over the rainbow" Sue - you will see even more of her vocal range. In her audition of "Tomorrow" watch her before she starts singing when she's talking to the judges - you will see how the public fell in love with her. She starts her sell-out UK tour in Feb (have my tickets) - She's a mix of Whitney, Celine and Streisand
@garydavies695 Hi Gary, you are going to have a great time when seeing her. I am sure she will put on a fantastic show. I will check that one out. Thanks a bunch 😊
@@playitagainsue Your in for a treat as well when you see "Over the Rainbow" - She has released her first Album "My Way" which contains the songs she will sing on tour👍
At the time, Sydnie was working front of house in a gym. Now I understand she is booked for a concert in New York City after she completes her tour of the British Isles. She was also a guest at the 75th birthday bash for Davied Foster, where there was also an appearance by Paul Anka, the teen hearttrob who wrote the lyrics for, and first performed, My Way in the mid sixties.
I have watched every youtube reaction video of Sydnie Christmas, over and over and over. The most common reaction is "WOW", just like your reaction. I still get goose bumps everytime I watch the videos. I got her My Way album for Christmas and I listen to it in the car all the time. She is on her way to being a superstar. Hopefully her February tour goes well and she gets the exposure she deserves.
This is the video that made me realise there are no boundaries to music. I would browse YT looking for reactions to my favourite blues/rock artists (Beth Hart being one example), and I kept seeing reactions to this and eventually clicked and watched and, like I'm sure 99% every other viewer, became a fan of this incredible womans talent immediately. I will listen/watch anything by Syd as she has her own way of interpreting and delivering a song like no other. Her version of "She used to be mine" is heart string pulling at its finest but, be warned, you will be reduced to a puddle, but so worth it. Shall see her next month live in Canterbury. What a way to start the New Year. 🥰
@@playitagainsue Sue you say you were honoured to listen to this...I agree but I'll add I am honoured to be a living witness to the rise of the brightest star to come along in a very long while...she has a way of making these songs we all know relatable in a completely new and marvelous way..she brings all the emotions to the surface....others sing songs she lives the song on stage☮☮☮❤❤❤🎵🎵🎵
Hi Sue. This my favorite performance on BGT by Sydnie. You might want to check out her duet of Over The Rainbow with her idol, Loren Allred. Loren’s version plays after Sydnie’s audition of Tomorrow during the judges comments. Sydnie put her own spin on it in the Finals, using Loren’s music track, mainly because she only had 3 days between the semifinals and the finals.
Your comments and reaction are a match for Sydnie Christmas' performance. My Way is an iconic song for many artists and now also for Sydnie Christmas. It's the name of her album, it's the reason David Foster invited her to his birthday performance and it's now, so far, her biggest hit. However, there are those who prefer the rendition in the final - Over the Rainbow. Which has already earned her a duet with Loren Allred in Los Angeles. I'd like to hear what you think.
@LoneWolf-qk7rv Hi Lone Wolf, I will happily listen to Over the Rainbow. If it is like the other two, I am sure it will blow me away. What an honour for her to appear on the birthday performance. David Foster is a big wig in the musuc business, so it shows how admired and talented she is. 🥰❤️

That was amazing When these shows get it right they really get it right I always loved Shirley Bassey singing this song but Syndie could even stand up to Shirley power, S.B might just out do her because she has a life lived and is pulling emotions from that. Anyway back to talent shows My favorite audition was this 13 yr old kid on AGT ruclips.net/video/zxe3KxHWikM/видео.htmlsi=uIyzgwbX5_jI1zsu Goes without saying but Susan Boyle created an industry with he performance on AGT ; talent shows changed overnight
@jessem470 Hey Jesse, I haven't heard Shirley's version. I am sure it was fab. I will give that one a listen but boy did Sydnie ever smash this! You are so right about Susan Boyle...that was outstanding. Thanks for the link. 🥰💙
Call me lowbrow, but my fave version of "My Way" is still by Sid Vicious ! .. Followed by Ol' Blues Eyes with his iconic delivery .. Sydnie has a great and powerful voice, and I love her personality when she's talking, but TBH, I'm not hugely into this type of vocal pyrotechnics performance .. I didn't connect with the message of the song in the way I could with Frank's version.
@wayne_twentyfive Hey Wayne, I do love me the Sid Vicious version and Nina Hagen does another great version in the Vicious style that is done partly in English and German. So you can call me lowbrow too then haha. It is a cool song. 🤩💜
She definitely checks all the boxes to be a good singer, however I just didn't feel it emotionally. This song has such a high bar and it's tough to pull it off and make it believable. She can definitely hit the notes and has an amazing singing voice, but I don't know it just a lack of experience singing on a pro level that just made the song fall short for me. Now Elvis that's great.
@JeromeDukes Interesting, thanks for your take. So fascinating how music hits everyone so differently. I found that extremely emotional. This is one of the many reasons why music is so cool 🥰🩵
@@playitagainsue In regards to singing she performed the song really well. What for me fell short was the lack of character in the vocal performance. The best way for me to describe what I mean is with guitar. I can play a note but that's all it is a note, to add character, I can give the note vibrato, I can hammer on the note, I can slide into the note, I bend the note. By doing this I can emphasis the note and give it character and feeling. In singing there are skills like vibrato that can give the song feeling and character. The other skill is when and where to use the vibrato in a song. I can command a great deal of skills on the guitar but what makes the greats the greats is how they use those skills to express intention and feeling. This is where I feel her vocal performance fell short. I don't want to compare her to pro female singers who I know would've done a better job with the song. Imo she hasn't reached those heights and the reason might be a lack of experience but she definitely has the skill to reach those heights.
