Yeah nowadays its really only about who gets hot and start hitting wild three point shots. Imagine watching football where everyone is just throwing hail maries every play lmao. Even the playoffs aren't that intense anymore.
MJ as always carried that will to win, a spirit of never give up until it is done.... Bulls of the 90s had these usual games, they seemed to struggle but having to hang on and win...how entertaining that was
87 points after regulation or 97 points after 2OT is one thing I’m sorry but fewer points doesn’t always make a game more intense if it’s just brick after brick
A team with two legendary big men, still couldn't beat the Bulls (without Pippen at that). Rodman also grabbed 22 rebounds against those two tallers players. Wilt and Russell never faced two giants at the same time. These Bulls were really the greatest
Remember, this was Duncan just a few games into his career and still scored 19 points and grabbed 21 rebounds against the defending champs with two former defensive player of the year winners in Rodman and Jordan the Goat. This wasn't two time MVP NBA champion Duncan. Not even close and still held his own.
This is infamous part of the series of missed games by Scottie due to contract issues. It was tough but MJ managed to keep the Bulls with a winning record until Pippen decided to come back.
I didnt watch the game because i didnt have sportschannel (fox sports chicago) on my tv but i heard the game on espn radio 1000AM with Neil Funk and it was a fun game to listen to. I was on the edge my seat during the 4th quarter and 2 overtimes for that bulls victory. Man oh man the memories

12/39 30.8% but he shot better than the entire team that shot 29% overall in that game. It was the year when team was running on fumes. The last dance.
The other 4 starters shot 7/27(25.9%) and the Bulls as a team(minus Jordan) shot 21/69(30.4%). The Spurs shot 40%. This was one heck of a defensive game between 2 defensive power houses.
If that's the case, the spurs should have won this game easily. Chicago was playing without their 2nd best player. Why did the spurs struggle is the question, there's an explanation why the bulls Struggled. Pippen dropping down to double Duncan is much different than Randy Brown
