    Yar US and Europe and India all have their pros and cons... But for people moving out was not always happiness. It was based on monetary concerns and financial stability. If money is good in India then it's ok else it's better to move out for 10 years save money and come back if you don't like it.

    Hey Gabblin,i think i can offer you some advice. I have lived for 4 years in Seattle,USA but shifted back to India in 2019. If pollution is the
    barrier for you, I suggest shifting to places like Chandigarh,Bangalore,New town Kolkata,Chennai. Also currently the indian startup culture is booming and you can take great advantage of that. On Dec 2016,when I was in Times Square,NY(which is a very famous landmark)gun violence happened which scared the hell out of me.I found a lot of challenges living in US.I personally
    beleive that if you are well settled in india where you earn well,there is less pollution and good safety etc ,it is foolish to
    leave India.

    Given any chance almost anyone will move to US. All this you are saying will never matter. Whether I will find happiness or not , I definitely would like to be depressed or sad when I am rich and have better standard of living. This is real life

    • @Gabblin
      @Gabblin  2 года назад +11

      Thank you for your opinion, Naqsh! How rich you get is also not completely a function of where you live, but more a function of how much value you create for the society. Things are nuanced.
      By all means, one must consider settling abroad, but not with serious expectations. Unmet expectations cause even more unhappiness. Cheers!

    • @amrahs6999
      @amrahs6999 2 года назад +2

      Nah bro. US is not for me. The sole reason I would move out of India are the internal issues where citizens are dumb enough to divide India, blame others, the double standards towards muslims, etc. I am just sick of this shit. The reason I don't like US is simply because they have their own internal issues like gun violence, extreme racism, very very expensive, etc.
      Obviously If my reasoning for moving out of India is internal issues then I would never move to a country which also has its own internal issues ( which worsens for immigrants ).

    • @hemasingh2819
      @hemasingh2819 2 года назад +3

      @Varun could you be anymore wrong. Different people work in different ways and hence different things work for them for eg someone who does not like meeting relatives or is not a social butterfly, can handle racist remarks would do better abroad but for someone stayinf away from family and friends for a long time is difficult who is emotionally vulnerable would rather be happier in india
      Second things is money as u said material possessions , if I can't get a job in india with a good package life would be bad for me here as well as abroad but atleast I'll have more money abroad so going abroad is a better option for me but if I have a good job here and I need social security as well then going abroad would be futile for me.
      So it's about individual preferences and how u perceive happiness and what is higher on your priority list.
      Happiness to each is their own so there is no fixed place where u would be happy, there are just places which would be more aligned with your perception of happiness and that is the place for you it can be india and it can be abroad too.

    • @hemasingh2819
      @hemasingh2819 2 года назад +1

      @Varun u just sounded like those people that u were addressing ie the ones that find flaws in other countries. Likewise u are finding flaws in india . So basically u missed the whole point of the video . He covered both kinds of people u just had to figure out which one u are and u are among those people who would be happier abroad but u just ruled out the possibility of people being happier here let's be more mature and considerate here. Right
      And as regards your last para , it's such a stupid and uninformed statement to make . Have you ever read about PPP if not, please do.

    • @hemasingh2819
      @hemasingh2819 2 года назад +1

      Not necessarily true sir. I have come back after having completed my CPA because I couldnt deal with the racism and didn't want to live under fear cause of the gun laws. Likewise my cousin came back from canada because he could not manage household work by himself whereas my best friend is still in Boston along with a few of our batchmates . They complete their MBA from Bapson college and are living happily there since 3 years so it's a very personal choice the number of people who come back after going abroad is very small and I agree with that because people who go abroad in the first place are the ones who think they can have a better life there but your statement is so wrong.

    Reality of life in Canada, so people in India are not misled by fake social media posts, pictures and videos that glamorize and sugar coat life in Canada.
    Even at the risk of being trolled and called 'negative', I tell people, that in my personal opinion, for people that are thinking of immigrating, moving to Canada, but are already well settled in their home country, meaning *if someone has a paid off residence, and has a good comfortable life in India, then in my personal opinion , they are better off living there, staying in India, then coming to Canada*
    If anyone is thinking of settling in Canada, then I would say that come to Canada on trial basis, and see if they would like to call it home.
    You don't buy a car without test driving, you don't marry without getting to know your partner to see if you will be compatible, so then why move permanently to a different country without testing it out, to see if it is a good fit for you or not.
    The best thing to do, to try it out first, and then based on trial experience, decide on whether or not you want to move there for good. A lot of immigrants make the mistake of not trying it out first, burning all bridges, and just moving abroad right away for good.
    Some points to take into consideration before deciding on moving to Canada:
    = In Canada summers are short (2-3 months) and sometimes no real summer but winters are Long (and VERY COLD) and for certain there is winter. Many dread winters because it is so bloody cold that the air hurts your face and during ice and snow storms the road conditions are risky, so you rather stay home unless you really need to go out. A lot of people go through winter depression, SAD Seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
    = Lack of real true social connections and social life due to the stress of high cost of living (rent or mortgage, insurance etc) and work life balance (people work various shifts and odd days) and the harsh brutal weather (so cold and during snow and ice storms the road conditions are so risky that you wouldn't want to take the chance of driving unless it is absolutely essential)
    = No home help because it is very expensive, so all work done by yourself, Iike cooking, cleaning, assembling things, laundry, shoveling snow, back yard etc.
    = High taxes.
    = Home ownership and rent is very expensive.
    = People who are doctors, physios and chiros and highly qualified professionals from India have to study and gain Canadian experience and certification to get job in their field.
    = Appointments for doc appointments, surgeries, specialist appointment take long and even the wait in emergency room is long.
    =There is shortage of medical staff and nurses
    = Marijuana has been legalized
    = International students pay close to triple and quadruple of what locals pay, but one should really look into the results, and check if those students are getting progressive gainful careers, and are they reaching their potential, and getting return on investment.
    Many make the mistake of thinking that "all that glitters is gold, and that the grass is always greener on the other side". My advice for people in India that are already well-to-do and well settled, is that if life is good to you, then appreciate it, responsibly enjoy it and also responsibly give back and help.
    The saddest part is when people who are living a depressed and miserable life abroad cannot or choose not to move back to home land, because they are worried that people will see them as failure, or make fun, and criticize them, so they lie to others, and continue to live a sad life.
    Don't go by fake social media (people will say what will bring them money and make them look good) photos and videos, rather experience it yourself.
    A lot of immigrants make the mistake of not trying it out first, burning all bridges (by selling everything off, severing all ties, and having no back up plan of exit and return), and just moving abroad right away for good.
    Sometimes it is the fear of public opinion, and being seen as failure for returning from abroad that keeps people from going back, so they continue to live miserably in Canada, passing their days like zombies, dead from inside but faking it from outside. I would advice, *don't care what other people think of you, be true to yourself and live happy* . I would say, they should not let the worry of what others will think of them, stop them from going back home, being true to themselves, and living where they feel truly happy and at home, because afterall, *life is short*

    When you have to fight any court case in India be it divorce case, real estate litigation cases etc then you will know why India sucks. Only people who are fine with India’s “small” problems are the ones who never had to go to court for any issues.
    Just stand outside any court to understand how ridiculous the system is. And I am not even talking about criminal cases but just civil cases itself
