Acording to ssbwiki, a major tournament or national tournament is a larger tournament that draws an extraordinary amount of attendance from the broader region as a whole. In North America, these tournaments attract players from across the United States and Canada, while European majors feature smashers from across the continent. Majors can draw attendance from different continents; for example, European and Japanese players often fly in to large American tournaments. That means that if Smash Factor (i guess those are the ones you are reffering to) has players from the US (like Anti), from Europe (like Mr. R), or from Japan (like Kameme) it could be considered a major.
Plasma Smash is that like how things are officially considered majors? Because if so that's kind of dumb imo. I generally just consider it a major if it has over 500 entrants
