Getting to play the sniper role is like trying to buy a video card during the global chip shortage.
This give me the same feels ass the old BF 1942 desert maps. Very good feelings honestly.
Oh yes. And with the Forgotten Hope Mod. These huge Maps in North Africa.
Being a sniper is awesome, but honestly, being an MG42 gunner on El Alamein is just... it's cheating, it really is, it breaks the game. You can literally sit outside the HQ and nail guys 500 meters away, it's just unreal.
I'm loving the dynamic of the stand off engagements over super long distance. Really drives home the importance of cover and movement.

El Alamein is definitely my new favorite map. It’s just so different from all the other maps and really seems to break away from a lot of the other maps in terms of topography. There are a lot more points of high ground on El Alamein through hills then every other map in the game. The clip where you were prone and picked off like 10 dudes really showed that off. Anyways great vid man keep it up
It plays incredibly different, very nice change of pace but British are losing a lot there. Might be the inferior weapons though
@@AlpineSniper nah people just have no idea how to play the map, every match I’ve lost on El Alamein is cause of the British refusing to cover the north road
i dont think its because of the weapons they are worse though i think its mostly about the map the driel map is way more balanced and in my experience ive won more as the britts
@@Mitron43 nah it’s definitely the weapons. The British weapons feel totally awful due to the horrible sights and weapon sway.
@@AlpineSniper Yeah HLL really butchered British weaponry. Too many 1914 Lee Enfields and ROF on the bolt actions should be faster, the Bren can't deploy bipod despite having it modeled even, the Lewis hits like a 9mm and their automatics all have higher recoil & worse sight pictures.

That's the problem with this game. They only let you have like two snipers and any other infantry sucks.
THIS was some entertaining sniping. It wasn’t pointless sniping. Nice selection of targets and impeccable accuracy. Love to see some good sniper overwatch gameplay 🔥💪🏽

I found this map poorly optimized at least for me, I played it only once for now and it has a lot of FPS drops and stuttering. driel is ok

Fun and all but when it comes to constant coms it's unrealistic for WW2. I'll just eventually ignore everyone and do my own thing. Nobody had radio back then but radio men. Gets irritating at times. Just let me do my thing and have fun.
do you use a lower aim/mouse sensitivity when sniping or you just use the normal amount of sensitivity? i'd imagine lower aim/mouse sensitivity helps with accuracy a little bit when sniping from a distance, but if youre within like 70 meters then it could sabotage your aim

Also the change in running speed in this update has my aim off, idk how to lead the shot anymore

exactly, i absolutely hate this map. im not one who can lay on a ledge and shoot a bolt action 40 times. I need to get in, be aggressive, so lots of running! worst map IMO

Always impressive to see long head shots in the game. Though I doubt we will ever shots past 800m in game much. Though they should be in game since one of the longest ever recorded sniper shots from the Civil war of the US was over 1200m. 9:43 the ass head shot. When right through the pooper scoopers

The map is fun for snipers, tanks and maybe MG, but with all the open ground between places, it's not very fun for anyone else, especially British

My “sniper” on El Alamein is my BREN in semi auto, I can get easy hits on moving targets 400m away . Longest headshot so far is 398 with the Bren on a moving target

i love playing this game but i am still learning looking for people to play with that can show me how to play rite cuz for not i am just running around killing people which helps but i need to have someone show me how to really play like the jobs and what not so can anyone help
The golden word on HLL or Post Scriptum / SQUAD is to be patient, and take experience by just playing.
Every veteran on the game learn from nothing, following the dudes and learnt.
GUIDE and TUTORIAL actually are fucking avaible, so it's should be easier, easy boyzy ! :)

That's why this map is BS. Only 2 snipers allowed per game. Impossible to enjoy otherwise.
great game. You FOV does seem a bit strectched tho, as in set to high. Objects on each side of the screen appear closer than in the the middle of the image.

Hell let loose might be very satisfyingly great but i would not consider it the BEST sniper Experience in gaming its far far far from that on a realism level considering you can shoot them anywhere like a foot and its instant death..
wish I had a friend to play with in a recon team, none of my friends like these types of games so I have to solo and I don't like speaking to randoms because I have a high pitched voice :(

Dude you gotta make your voice in these significantly louder. The dominant voice is literally everyone but you most times, idk why you have it setup like that, but I've been confused during several videos which one was you since I just came across your channel and didn't know your voice. Surely is hurting the quality/views in my opinion.
It's nice that you can use a sniper rifle without the game making you look like the sun to everybody else in the game like Battlefield and COD does. Defeating the purpose of a sniper rifle. I know it's because people whine about camping but that's what sniping frickin is.
Post Scriptum was so much better, it's sad it didn't get the marketing and attention it deserved.

Sniper feels very off to me. The scope zoom sucks ass and throws me off, and it feels like the bullets drop faster than if i were just using the default infantry gun.

Very cool! I actually watched TFBG video first and saw you in there which I thought was a great feature; then watching this one it's great to hear the same commentary but from your perspective. That enemy team had no idea what they were up against.
are these half empty servers or what lol? always so dead quiet no infantry at all besides single targets and only tanks. dont think i saw 2 infantry together ever

Man I dont know what they did but I'm having so much stuttering especially in close quarters, game is almost unplayable I 100% haven't got 5 mins on El Alamein , I would take all the bad from before that's how bad it has been .
I find the machine gun to be fun because I play from a distance yes I can afford to miss shots because of the firerate and still be effective for my team.

Definitely should try out the bren on this map too… went on a 50 kill streak with it just droppin dudes from 100s of meters away! Very versatile weapon. Good for close and long range if you know how to use it

El Alamein is the only part of the update I really like. Driel kinda blows, British weapons are meh at best and the XP reduction is ridiculous, as if the xp grind wasn't enough already.
the headshot ping is very annoying. Lots of people talk about this game for the realism but that "ping" really takes the edge off, especially when sniping people who have a hat on! (08:15)

I was playing this map on Offensive and we could not get over any of the top ridges to push in and take Hamlet ruins. Defense was German side we were British. Very rough match for the British, also not a fan of the British weapon sights.
Only thing ab sniping in this game is there’s about 2 snipers per team… and a whole lot of players.

Arma is much better for sniping. It's world allows for some sweet kilometer plus shots.

i have to make these shots on Irons leaning in to my monitor for 1 damn pixel. I wish this game would give players a token after so much time on other classes to allow being the sniper while being a solo. only time i ever got sniper was if a friend played.

way too stable for a rifle scope while standing. they should make it more challenging so the kill is more rewarding and the gameplay more realistic. Also i think it would be great to press reload after each shot.
These new maps and new faction (English) are just filler. More empty maps in which we play hide and seek, especially drill neither dark nor light. English weapons are totally bad, I don't know if they really were, but in the game they are very bad. I don't think of playing English anymore, German Russian and American is ok, but not English. Only if you play as a sniper on El Alamein then it's really good, then the targets have nowhere to hide :)

I play this on ps5 and it’s a great game, but aiming with a mouse looks sooo much easier
They should create a version of each level with no snipers ,no tanks ,no placed machine guns. Pure skill in squad work to win.

Sniper on top of tank is kinda op. Like having two tank commanders but one has a sniper

P14 with a 8x scope.... except it's a No.32 scope, which IRL had a zoom of 3.5x.... this game man.... -_-

Is this map part of the basic game or does it come in an expansion? I have the game, I just can't check right now
No gun is that accurate, they should add some random bullet deviation, or add wind mechanics, can't imagine this would make the game fun for the majority of players!
Rifles are that accurate now. I've got a .25MOA rifle coming from my gunsmith. Wind would be stupid hard to implement in a game imo. You'd have to be able to observe the mirage to read it correctly.
The biggest issue is the absurd amount of stability from a standing position in the middle of a war zone. That would be the easiest thing to fix.
vids like these are misleading... makes it look easy... I saw this video and a few others (liked and subscribed) then i bought the game.... i am absolute shit and cry myself to sleep at night :(
