Orient KILLS the Sunray dial. I was tickled to see that as the demo in the vid bc a blue Mako II actually *was* my first mechanical watch, bought along with a G-shock 5610U, both for about 220.00 USD. A couple years later, I've prbly spent that much on N@TOs... The "Mecha Armor" Ti mid kit for the G-shock cost more than the actual watch, 😂H well... 🤦🏼🤷🏼💸💸💸 Edit: "Sunday"/sunray
That isn't the original bracelet though. Have to admit mine has been on the original bracelet for less than a week. It's on a Miltat Rollball now. And the dial is breathtakingly beautiful indeed, depending on the lighting it ranges from almost black to vivid red.
There's also the case where the watch is just perfect for you. It become too precious for you to take it out everyday, so you justifies buying another watch as your "beater"
Then the watch you buy as a beater becomes that “too precious to take out” timepiece so you then buy another watch to be a “beater” and then the cycle continues

My Casio Duro is doing a good job innoculatung me from the watch hordes, and appears to be working well. I got the model in two colors, and a dozen watch straps. Taking in the permutations, it's a lot of watch, even though the case & movement only numbers two.

my day date, vintage datejust, Tissot PRX, Swatch morning dew and seiko speedmaster 7a28 701a never looked bad to me, in fact, I look all day at it and over time I like them more and more. While collecting you will find the right ones, took me about 15 years and over 80 watches to find out what I liked the most
I don’t even have to make excuses, I just want another one because it’s fun… I already have a folder with my favorite Top 100 watches I would love to have. For sure I will probably never have them all, but still, regularly I do update this list by adding new ones I love, and therefore forcing myself to remove the ones I do like the least… by the same time, making my list reflecting better my top choices… which becomes my purchase list once I have the money, one step a the time.
@@michaelamundson4715 lol its tough to find any make of watch more durable than a g-shock. Did you modify it? WTF did you do to kill a g-shock? That's literally designed from the ground up to be tough and reliable.
Spot on.. Bought a bunch have hyped and must have watches, from a prx to a speedmaster and some Rolexes.. I figured out I need mostly a watch on the tenniscourt both for supersticious mental support and just knowing how long you have left before you have to give up the court to the next one or to track some practice exercises.. Seems I am now collecting quartz tissot chrono sportwatches with different strap colors to match my outfit.. How ridiculous is that.. Now I left the t-race watches and wear mostly 2 prs516's which I bought new at a discount 😂 they match everything and I dont have to worry that the movement in an omega seamaster will be scratched while playing with it.. 😵
Bought the watch of my dreams when I got a new job; a Seiko premiere, not that expensive but flashy 😅 Loved it for about 6 months before I hated it 😂 the flashyness made the whole chronograph impossible to use! During daytime it was almost to bright to see the time and I had to use a flashlight anywhere and when it was dark 😊
I got the bug, BAD! Lol! Bought one of my grail watches, recently (Omega Speedmaster) it scratched the itch deep! For about 3 weeks before I started looking at more watches 😂
True. I find cons for almost every watch that i bought. (After all they are mostly under 100 dollars) But the main reason that i want a new one is because i start to get bored so i want a new one . Plus the excitment of going to the shops, choosing, wearing (especially the first days or weeks) 😊
Currently on hiatus from buying more at 13 watches. planning to buy more, much much more. Not ashamed, just guilty because I'm too broke for this hobby and yet i persist to buy more. I would probably, maybe, perhaps stop if i own my grails (GS RefSBGA211G, JLC reverso, PP Ref5205G annual calender, Rolex deepsea challenge Ref126067, Omega seamaster Aquaterra, VC Ref30020 and way more) not sure these are attainable in a single lifetime but i will get there one way or another because the goal is "One case, One brand" (the case is 18-slot btw). P.S Before anyone says anything, no i will not sell any of my watches to make room, I will make room to make more purchase
Yeah I have a watch coming for Christmas and I am already looking at new ones. I am really interested in a PRX or an Alpinist. Feel like they’re staples.
I buy a new watch with every milestone I reach in my life. It started with my first degree from college and then first real job, first home bought, etc…

I just need one watch in each category (or two for dress watches): Dress watch (one brown leather strap one black) Beater/Digital watch Dive watch Field watch
I have yet to experience this feeling with the Black Bay. Sure, I might wear other watches based on my mood or the occasion, but the BB remains my favorite watch in pretty much every aspect.
The worst mistake is to get a nice expensive watch that is well built, in my case a Rolex datejust 2021 straight from the AD. I had my Rolex along with Tissot, longines, oris, Casio and others, immediately i started noticing the difference in the quality of clasp, bracelet, winding feeling and bezel action, everything else felt like a toy and I am now on my 5th Rolex waiting for the sixth one.
Never happened to me. I am very happy with all the watches that I bought and I appreciate what I have. I buy only when it really speaks to me, falls in my budget, is different from what I have, and when I’m sure that I will be wearing it. Less is more. Learn how to be happy and grateful for things. And maybe think twice before buying a new watch, if you really find yourself being so picky over and over again? Cheers.

The bug can be cured with poverty😂

Barely
and by being grateful and content 😂
Then Casio comes into play and you end up having a gshock, Casio royale, f91w, sapphire and who knows what else xD
You would think poverty would take care of it. But I have found some truly amazing Swiss vintage watches at thrift stores. The bug continues. 😂
