Tbf the 2016/2017 makers only had months to make it and thats why they went with 3d cgi because its cheaper and faster
I didnt mind that that much but what i really did mind was them skipping few arcs like moon child or children of the forest arc

The way you animated the cannon-to-cannon part is waaay more fluid and intense than the studio's version, the sense of Grunbeld's confusion and Guts' armor-driven recklessness all in one unbroken run, your choice of angles and framing are how it it should've been done.

(sorry markreymer) The way you captured the atmosphere of the moment, the fast and fluid movement of Guts vs the slow but incredibly hard hitting attacks of Grunbeld with the perfect mixture of clang and bang sfx for the dragonslayer, it's all just SO perfect! instant subscribe, please animate the rest of the fight!

Just look at this video, it is possible to have a great Berserk animated adaptation.
@@frog6054 Yeah all you need is 173 years and this guy could have produced 26 episodes of low framerate, simplistic animation. How many episodes would you need? 100? That'd only take around 700 years.
Listen, I'm not insulting his work, it looks good for what it is. But it's not even close to professional animation standards. The movement is choppy due to very few animated frames. There's practically no backgrounds at all. The style, while attractive, severely lacks detail. And it took him 8 months to make 2 minutes of it. This is absolutely nothing compared to the effort of actually animating at least 100 episodes well. To even make the suggested comparison is absurd.

@@martinduncan2639 the point is my man that it was made by a single man without any actually decent animating equipment take a good team of people and give em actual funding and animating softwear and you can have a decent anime adeptation of berserk, the point was that if a none prefesional animator could pull of something like this by themselves a true team of professionals could do so much more and make a full and proper adaptation not that this guy here could do everything by himself you doof

You did an amazing job animating Guts’ fancy jumps and swings))) I’m also really fond of the whole style of the thing, really fits the scene. I was thinking that animation would end with the helmet transformation, but you actually went above and beyond and adapted most of the fight!

1:52 Small mistake: That is not how the arm cannon works with berserker armor.
The way how it works is that the gauntlet's hand opens up, letting the prostetic hand slide down. This can be seen in the manga if you look closely.

Some part of me deep down was anticipating (dreading) the pots-and-pans clang sound of 2016 on impact with Grunbelds' shield but no, it actually make a sound you can expect from a huge metal shield bracing a tough impact. Awesome!
Damn this was great, 1000x better than anything in the 2016 anime and is pretty much how I pictured the scene where he gets his berserker armor playing out, with My Brother jamming in the background and all. Well done.

It perfectly conveys the suffering, the pain, the gory beauty that the manga pass down, and… about the dark in background, the dirty line art that blend in the shadows, the heavy flutter of the cape of Gatsu… the aberrant movement of the monster, the rain of blood… I’m gonna cry like I used to do when I red it. This is a REAL REWORK in animation version! Not only copy the panel, animate and censure it, but present the same situation telling with different instruments! A rework!

Отдельно хочу подметить момент, где Гатс стреляет пушкой в Грюнбельда и ломает ему щит, ибо в аниме 2017 года это выглядит так дерьмово, что даже не понимаешь А что сейчас сделал Гатс? .

It's quite impressive !!! As an animator I would suggest varying the framerate a little bit more when in a dynamic combat, it would make blows and ramp ups much more impactful, but bravo mate !!

Holy shit this looks good. That's how I imagined a faithful adaptation to Miura's crazy, almost mad dedication to detail would look like. The animation's perfect too. I get to appreciate the frames' incredible details more. I don't want zippy zoopy flashy flashy animations for Berserk. I want to appreciate Miura's unique dedication to incredible detail.
