    A good thing to keep in mind is this. R7 is a street bike you can take to the track. R6 is a track bike you can take to the street. Know what you’re riding for and the r7 will be all you need! Stop lying to yourself that you need more power; unless you’re riding for clout and or you don’t like twins. Ride safe everyone. ❤️

      Even though most people will never come close to maxing out r7 potential, you can't deny the 4 cylinder bikes are just way cooler. R6's sound alone will give you chills.

    I could agree on this being a great beginner bike. I started on the Honda cbr650r and they are practically the same thing. Honda I do believe is a bit faster but either way both bikes are great as starters. The 300 or 400 are just to damn slow, you'll want to upgrade within 3 months and be upset you spent all the money just to upgrade within the same riding season.

    a "starter bike" that goes 130 MPH is no starter bike, definitely a good second bike though if you have a couple years experience on a bike like a R3 or Ninja 300/400. the R7 is only 40 HP more than R3, compared to 600cc which is 100 HP more than R3 (in terms of power, that's like upgrading from a Toyota Camry to a 500 HP BMW M5)

      @@The1OneAndOnly128Keep in mind that cars and bikes are very different. Being a good driver won’t automatically make you a good rider, and driving a fast car doesn’t mean you can ride a fast bike. I agree r7’s are great starter bikes for SOME people, but driving a fast car shouldn’t be the reason you get one. Driving skill does not translate to riding skill. I recommend a ninja 400 or an r3 as a starter bike if you have zero riding experience. Getting comfortable on a used smaller bike and upgrading to a bigger one is worth it, you’ll learn the basics better without having to worry about power.

    The R7 is also a bit expensive, and you can't find one older than 2022, the bike might be good for a beginner but if you're a beginner and you don't have that much money then why are you buying a bike that's almost new or actually new? You will drop it at some point and it will hurt you financially and emotionally, and when you get a new bike and you crash it for the first time, it won't feel the same after you repair it and make it look just like when it was brand new because now you know it's been dropped

    Riders who start on smaller capacity bikes like the R3 turn out to be far more skilled/better riders than ones who start on larger bikes like the R7. I'm not saying that riders who start off on intermediate bikes like the R7 are "bad", but in general they lose out on learning essential skills that make you legendary later on. Riding a slow bike fast is more fun than riding a fast bike slow and allows you to learn those skills properly. Don't evolve your Pickachu too fast or he wont learn TM's that make Raichu more powerful.

    I don’t think the R7 is a good starter bike at all.
    I started on a 125cc and man I’m glad I did. making all your newb ass mistakes on a forgiving baby bike vs a 700cc is the difference between a “whoops that was close” and “I had to lay ‘er down” or ending up around the nearest tree.
    when you’re learning to ride for the very first time, getting the muscle memory down, paying attention to what all of your limbs are doing, managing shifting, braking, throttle, indicators, plus looking at the traffic, road conditions, all that, you don’t really want to divide your attention further by also managing the power of a twitchy 700cc bike and risk fucking up with substantial consequences. you want a learner bike that won’t punish your inevitable mistakes, one that will ease you into getting used to riding a bike in general, one that even if you mess up on, you won’t hurt yourself or crash the bike. then, when you feel like you could handle more power, go and upgrade to a bigger one.
    when I first sat on my R7, I almost shit myself how torque-y it feels vs the 125cc. I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to manage the bike’s power when still learning and actively paying attention to what all my body parts are supposed to do.
    do yourself a favor, get the basics down on a smaller bike, then, when riding feels more automatic than manual, upgrade to a bigger one. by that time, you won’t have to actively pay attention to anything else when managing its power, so getting used to it will be a lot safer than if you had started on it and had to divide your attention 20 ways. yeah big bikes are cool and all, but riding has a very definite learning curve, and taking unnecessary risks by cutting corners with an already inherently dangerous activity isn’t exactly wise.

    • @DonBrissy
      @DonBrissy 8 месяцев назад +4

      Completely agree mate. Here is Aus you can only ride up to 650cc (mt07, r7, cbr650r all come as a 'restricted' 47hp variant to comply with licensing rules), excluding the 600cc class as this has too much power. This is for your first two years riding.
      I started on an r3 and ended up getting a cbr500 (got taken out by a car on the r3) and man am I glad the licensing rules are they way they are. No matter how good you think you are starting you'll come across little moments that could've ended worse given a bigger bike. As you mention they're perfect for honing all your skill that will 100% end up saving your life.
      I'm now on a non-restricted mt07 or H0 over here which is the same 689cc as in states (compared to our 655cc lams version). Now no way should anyone start on this cp2 engine, unless you have quite a bit of previous riding experience. The torque makes it very unforgiving for people who have 0 riding experience and given it's want to always wheelie, it'd make for an awfully scary time.
      Cannot believe I hear amercians talking about starting out on 600cc supersports, bloody ludicrous. R7 is not a starter bike!

      @@DonBrissy im from USA and i too think it's ridiculous ppl starting on 600cc. i started on 50cc, 85cc, 125cc, 250cc, etc like everyone should. i am kinda with you, i think the R7 is not really first bike category, but definitely a good upgrade for anyone who's been on a 300cc for a few years. i've had my R3 for 5 years and still have no plan on getting rid of it, although i will add the R7 to my garage and keep the R3 too in the future

    100 % wrong again. First bike should be light dirt bike. Learn how to ridevaway from traffic not concrete it telephone poles. Learn to ride and fall in dirt, and diry bikes get droped crash flip and do not need hundreds or thousands to repair. I.learned in dirt with friends wecare in ourv60s and still ride.any buddies in high school started on street most crsshed got hurt soent big money and quit. The small few died due to panic in bad situation and not having the muscle memory.of yrs ridingnto avoid death. No street bike is best forst bike ever any where anytime. Best to learn skilks in dirt on light cheap esdybti ride dirt bike. Fell hundreds of times never ended up.in hospital, first street crash 2 yrs in cast 8 operations to save right leg, cause of old ladynin car that pulled out in front of me. My fault i forgetbrule one brother told about street riding, no one sees you. I forgot that for a second and paid price. I lived as i swerved with counter streer by instinct, 4 morebinches i.muss her. Had inbeen rookie probably hit full side of car and died at 18
