Off the Cuff- EP 1 - Radio Operations

Off the Cuff Video that was filmed back in late winter. Finally got around to editing it. It is Show casing how Radios work on the hill tops of the local area where I live in the Hudson valley. I use mainly the HT1000 Motorola for work but have used it for hilltopping and the trusty HTX202 and my edc radio the Yaesu Vx7r. The kenwood THf6a is one of the best small size to transceiver and SSB/CW/AM receiver ratio radios out there. The Yaesu VX1r is one of the best field radios due to its ability to utilize usb powering sources while operating at the same time and also being able to charge the battery when the radio is not in use. The FT1dr Is a rugged ipx4 rated radio with aprs and works well in the field. Strictly a VHF and 11m Am operations video. Maybe I will get around to filming the KX2 or KX3 in the field with HF operations.

Really great stuff! My grandfather in law was a hardcore ham guy before his health declined. Been meaning to get my license for ages and may just do that one of these days. CB is something I don't know why I don't already have.
