North Brabant is famous for its painters such as Vincent van Gogh and Theodoor van Thulden. Probably the most famous painter from s-Hertogenbosch was Jheronimus Bosch, also known in Spanish as El Bosco. fun fact. sHertogenbosch was the Catholic stronghold of the Netherlands. the Catholics were oppressed by the Reformed. When Spain occupied the Netherlands, the Catholics van den Bosch were given more freedom again. this is one of the reasons why den bosch chose the spaniards in the 80 years war. the population of Brabant is known for being Burgundian, hospitable, idiosyncratic and recalcitrant to authority.

Next time also take a trip at the eastern part of the citycentre of Den Bosch. Now we only have a half impression of the city centre.
