I saw this AMV years ago at Sakuracon, and it remains my favorite AMV of all time. It definitely gave away the plot, but it still got me to watch the anime. And I come back to watch it from time to time because it fits so perfectly. I get chills when the organ and trumpet come in and are paired with visuals.
I know I'm late to the party but I have so many feelings, especially that happy-sad-nostalgia I got from the anime as a whole, and it's all your fault. ;) I can't imagine trying to time Sentarou's drums to a song in an entirely different genre, but you made it look easy. (And the cymbals at 1:58, wow, A+ use of the music as a sound effect.)
This AMV was just so beautiful and inspiring, and the music fit so perfectly. I know you said it had major spoilers, but I just HAVE to watch this anime now!
