All those logos have an X shape except Tesla and Boring. But I assume that will change...
If I’m a quadriplegic, being able to play video games is not near the top of my list for neuralink powers. Maybe it is a key first step of physical manifestation of the link, but I had expected far more improvements for the people willing to take the risks of this test program.
Not sure why there is such breathless discussion of Tesla being a trillion dollar company when it already was before Musk bought Twitter, and still needs only to double to reach that. An average stock can do that in 6 years so it’s not a high risk prediction nor a huge wealth builder. Tesla needs to 10x or 100x again to justify the enthusiasm some of those who made those gains still have. I got them, but see a radical change in behavior likely to lead to less success than in the past from an inability to bring products to market at predicted rates and costs to chasing away customers.
Optimus has been amazing in progress but not much else. After years of broken promises the big leap forward on v12 restores my hope they will truly reach FSD.
Elon is massively changing the world but I am no longer confident it is all for the better and lost the belief he was incorruptible 3 to 5 years ago. He misrepresents the constitution to rationalize his management at Twitter and seems to feel he should have more power than elected officials.
Herbert, how about making an episode featuring Larry Goldberg explaining how anyone can go watch a SpaceX launch! He could explain where to park and where to stay (options), how close he could get, how bad was the traffic, how long was he stuck there after the launch, and of course ask him to explain what it was like watching and hearing the Starship blast off!
they need to separate FSD into tiers, Personal for just you, Chauffeur for immediate family, and Fleet FSD to join a fleet to make money, and price accordingly.
Subscription is the important factor. People will subscribe to try this new version and finally not give up on it after a couple months.
Larry's analysis as usual is spot on and I believe accurate. Tesla for the WIN IMO.
As an example of the tech prowess of Musk's SpaceX, Starship uses about 40 rocket engines, each of which is the highest tech engine ever produced -- by USA, Russia, China, anyone. These engines cost less than a million each ($20M or so per launch) compared to the $60-70M for each Space Launch System expendable engine (4 engines for a quarter billion dollars).

I don't share that thought.
1. Who bought FSD for $12k or $200 a month is taking very much care not to waste it due to careless driving.
2. Tesla wants to create the best product, not to make the most money out of it just now it's in beta
3. Tesla is training FSD on input of _all_ cars, also from drivers who didn't get FSD beta (FSD is running in shadow mode when not turned on)
4. Selling FSD beta too cheap now might cause accidents of careless drivers, and will damage the brand more than the money they make.
As an investor I'm happy with this approach...
I bet that eventually that a Tesla Insurance policy could close to subsidize the cost of FSD. for the insured vehicle.
Larry, we have never seen a true Genius like Elon in action. He is still young full of enthusiasm and Ideas that a normal human being would never have the courage and the brains to carry forward. To invest in Tesla is a privilege that needs intelligence to properly evaluate, and apparently lacking in most Wall St. big boys, that put a price on cash only, but fail miserably to put value in all the cutting edge Technologies that Elon is working and bringing to completion, decidedly changing the world we live on.

I got a young lemon tree in my garden, it is blooming and exploding like Tesla with so many flower, its scent like money is inebriating, promising a season of succulent lemons, but like Tesla we need to wait for them to get ripe like we need to wait for all of those Tesla future trillion $ enterprises to mature, as Larry keep repeating.

This is insane, all this bullish news while the stock is falling…
Wells Fargo referred to Tesla as "growth company without growth". They predict zero growth this year and falling sales until next year. The price target was cut from $200 to $125 - 23 percent lower than the current rate. While most other members of the Magnificent Seven have gotten off to strong starts this year, Tesla has seen its stock falter. The shares were down 32% on a year-to-date basis, making them the worst performer in the S&P 500 so far in 2024.
Q1 sales in China down about 6% in 2024 per Yahoo Finance looking at official China figures. However, deliveries in Europe so far are up between 21-42%. Sales in US are down for the model 3 due to slow ramp of Model 3+, Model Y are OK. There is growth for 2024 but maybe only 11-12% which is down from earlier years. A similiar forecast for 2025 but much higher growth from 2026 onwards.
I see the current price a good buying opportunity to get another 500 shares by the end of the year.
When the Neuralink-supplemented young man, Noland Arbaugh, demonstrates he can control Optimus, it will be an astounding announcement, boosting Tesla to space in record time.
What is a director of Tesla supposed to say though?
tesla should promote monthly FSD with maybe a 2-3 month free period. I pay $200. Hurts much less than 10k i paid on my last X. And ended up trading it in 3 years later. They would have many more takers.
I don’t think there’s any way to generate a massive revenue increase from it without improving the product. I wouldn’t be using fsd if I had it and so even $1 a month is not a price I would pay.

Again, what you are talking about is 1st principle thinking. Both your statements describe ultimate efficiency and urgency in all aspects because Elon recognizes are lives are too short to achieve all the goals he can dream up. So the question becomes, how many things can be accomplished in the allotted time.

Tesla needs to kick something to touch. It’s Not going to happen this year. So when? The Bot is years away. FSD has been close to being resolved for years. FSD does get better but …. Robo Taxis needs advanced FSD that can handle ALL situations. In reality it is a long way off. Energy has been reported years ago to be bigger than cars. I cannot understand why Tesla had delayed the start of the new Megapack factory in Shanghai. With two years wait on Megapacks Tesla should be building several new Megapack factories at the same time. So Where is a home run coming from Tesla in the next two years?

Tesla is more than a Trillion Dollars. It could take a while but when Tesla starts achieving some of the things in “development” Tesla stock will rise dramatically. Tesla does needs some wins as it’s been flat for a while. I think the first break through , be it not substantial, will be licensing other Auto companies with Software and manufacturing innovations. The substantial wins will be when Robo Taxis scale and the Tesla bot is made in volume.

It’s important to remember about Neuralink that yes, it is a massive improvement over the Utah Array technology which was the state of the art before it and it is great that this was a success but opening the skull even a little to access the brain will always be the kind of risk that is only advisable if you have no other choice. This won’t be an elective procedure that people will use to become “superhuman”. Operating rooms are as sterile as they can be made but it will always be a numbers game.
Fifty years from now getting some kind of implant will be like getting your first haircut. People will not even question it.
Why price FSD at $4,000 now, when it could be worth $30,000 when the solve RobiTaxi in 2-3 years? When buying it outright, it stays with the car for life, so Tesla only gets one opportunity per car to sell it.
HOPEFULLY Neural Link will advance to returning walking and movements of all appendages to those that are paralyzed. The world that hates Elon may change their mind and love Elon for returning mobility to a family member. I don't care about what Elon says, I care about the good he is doing to make the world a better place.
Words have consequences so I do care. No CEO should drive away customers for personal whims. Spoken as a shareholder and former right leaning independent forced by video evidence to admit a lot of the issues Musk denies are real.

People who have been patient before were rewarded. The thesis has not changed.
Tesla’s fundamental business is slowly getting worse while we speculate on their “what if” products that aren’t currently tangible and don’t generate any revenue. This can lead to dangerous confirmation bias and we must be rational investors. If the market wasn’t euphoric/trading at ATH’s rn, TSLA would likely be at $100.

It's not bind-boggling how Musk is able to accomplish what he's accomplished. His motivations are 180 degrees out-of-phase with the motivations of the CEOs of OpenAI, Meta, Microsoft, Google, GM, etc. It's the difference between people-over-profits and profits-over-people. Yes it helps that he's a brilliant engineer, but it's his motivations that allow him to accomplish what he's accomplishing.
