In this video on rate and rhythm determination i have explained how to check regularity in an ecg. Can anyone please explain why do we calculate by multiplying with 10 in 6 seconds method?
We want to calculate the heart beat per minute,and thus we have taken a strip with only 6 seconds. 6 X 10 =60 secs, equivalent to a minute.
I.e if there are 10 beats in 6 seconds,how about 60 seconds (1 minute) 10 X 10 = 100 BPM.
