wataru's areas in general have a post-apocalyptic and Tim Burton-esque charm to them which really adds to their appeal, while staying true to the spirit of the original game. too bad hes not making anymore areas :(
too bad his worlds are all gone now. you can still play them, but only in older versions. The latest version you can play with them is 0.113 with no patches.
@@joahqin He was going through a lot personally, plus there were way too many people idolizing him and pressuring him to make more, and he just couldn't deal with it anymore. at least older versions are somewhat easy to download if you've got the knowledge.
this is definitely my favorite area! The ambience is so amazing. I watched someone else explore it before, but they were talking over it and I couldn't actually hear the music. It's so calming somehow! It definitely takes the first place position from the ocean floor in terms of my favorites(but the ocean floor will always be up in my top three lol)
I'm glad to hear the lack of commentary is filling a niche! I feel like people miss out on the music a whole lot in more traditional youtube playthroughs. Seafloor is actually one of my favorite areas too (though that might just be from older versions when getting there seemed like a much larger task comparatively), the entire lead up to the child effect is great.
I agree! The sea floor has such an amazing atmosphere. It's one of those areas that gives me a really weird, unique feeling that's almost impossible to describe. I think the closest I've gotten is positive melancholy? Even that's a little bit vague, lol. I've always been kinda scared yet fascinated of deep sea environments, so it's definitely a place that interested me in that sense too. I've tried to draw it several times(you've seen one of them on tumblr lol), but I can never seem to get it just right. It's a hard area to capture, even though it's so simple!
I would call it serene personally, though it is hard to remember how I felt about it when I initially saw it, without knowledge of what was gonna happen! I think I would've been a bit spooked. And I did see that, I think it's a little hard to catch because there's not really a lot going on above foot level.
If you can get me a map name from the yume 2kki wiki, I can help! Or at the very least a general area of the dream world it appears in, that might jog my memory.
I believe this area is known as the "Overgrown City" on the wiki. Also, you should have gotten a wallpaper for finding The Thing that Ended The World. (AKA that statue at the end)
Yeah wataru's stuff is always really good (and all stacked up on top of each other which helps keep it consistent, I've referred to wataru's areas as their own game before and that's kinda why), this bit's definitely a high point I keep seeing people talk about though!
Es un placer mostrar el juego! Y no hay problema, los comentarios no me molestan. (Estoy traduciendo estos mensajes con la ayuda de un amigo, si hay respuestas futuras en espanol, es posible que no sean rapidas)

@@pumpkinsoda9017 Thank you for your reply... at least by removing his maps they somewhat adquire a "legend" status.
@@joahqin The maps were readded several patches ago, and he's been working on a new area ever since his return

I really love the atmosphere in this area! and the music along side it, so foreboding...
._.
I consider that jellyfish aquarium as prize after we got through some woods.
i absolutely adore this area. easily a favorite from your 2kki videos so far as well as the starry sea.

a shrieking cloud of bats How awesome would it be if wataru made his own yume nikki fangame!
I would definitely play it! I believe Oudn moved from yume 2kki to Yume Graffiti, so there's precedent!
MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!
