We both worked for this relationship with ups and downs. Its important to care about eachothers feelings . But dont take everything too personal. Like not calling eachother everyday is fine. We also have our own space. When you try to control the relationship its going wrong
That 3 call rule is great. I was stuck in the hospital for a week. I was very upset and resentful at my partner for not being there. He wasn't as communicative as he is now so i didn't know what he was going through at the time too. Communication is everything. So thanks for sharing the 3 call rule. Might use it
WOW This is really clear cut advice that I think all couples long distance or not should have. Communication without proper expectations leads to frustration. You've spelled everything out on both sides so you both are satisfied with each other. Bravo! I totally understand not having notifications on because I have zero notifications on my phone otherwise I'd never get anything done. So I don't see a text unless I glance at my cell. Phone rings only when I am not doing a live show or broadcast then it's on Do Not Disturb. And sometimes I forget to turn the Do not Disturb off. I have 3 kids, they're all good, no boyfriend at the moment so it's definitely a conversation that will be had when the time comes. Again thank you and it's helpful to see and hear you both discuss this.
9 Years in Long Distance, my advice 💞 1.) Trust Each Other 2.) Communicate (Discuss expectations) 3.) Conflicts are normal (Never threaten to leave) 4.) Play Questions games like Lovify, to spice things up. 5.) Call unexpectedly. 6.) Surprise Visits if possible

If Tom doesn't check his phone or have notifications, how would he know if you called him 3 times? My partner and I have been trying to do this but during work hours, neither of us have notifications and weren't sure how to get past that issue.
I’ve met a very nice man online that lives here in the state I do. He speaks mainly German. We speak every day in the morning and evening. We have still not met after 3 weeks of texting only. He recently had a surgical procedure on his throat - even showed me pics of the OR and doctor. He’s unable to speak for 2 more weeks. What troubles me is he is saying he wants me to be only with him and wants to spend the rest of my life with him. I’ve never met him I’m person and have not heard his voice even. I don’t know what to think. The language barrier is frustrating. I don’t know if you’ll see this, but wanted your feedback
