Alr. So basically what happened is that Azumarill (blue guy) used Belly Drum which makes you lose 50% of your hp but boosts your attack to the max, then it died. Lucario came in and used Copycat which copies the last move used, since Lucario cannot normally get Belly Drum. Then it killed everyone with Extreme Speed, a normal type move that basically always goes first, but Gengar was a ghost type meaning Extreme Speed wouldn't hurt it, Lucario used Bullet Punch which is steel type and takes out Gengar. Idk why I did this I was just bored.
Just to clarify, Azumarill did not die for using Belly Drum. It used Perish Song before, which kills both your and your rival's Pokémon in three turns (that's why the other guy changed Roselia). As Azumarill was not changed, it died allowing Lucario to enter and copy the last move used.
And used stealth rock, a move that causes damage by entering the battle ground, to nullify focus sash and endure (item/ability that makes the user survive a direct attack if their hp is full)

This means that it will also copy the opponent's move and mess up your combo if you do nothing about it. This is where Perish Song and protect come in. It let you do the combo. Protect make sure your pokemon die to Perish song instead of the opponent's move(which as stated before, will also ruin your combo since it will copy the opponent's move) and Perish song let you time the belly drum so that your pokemon can copy it.

A riolu with copycat and prankster ability is a nightmare in battle. For example: When one of your pokemon did an entry hazard and uses roar as a last turn, riolu with prankster will go first and uses copycat, slowly killing everything 🤣🤣
Riolu learns Copycat. So he had Azumarill use the LAST move after surviving just enough damage to drop to Belly Drum (50%~) so that Copycat would grab the Belly Drum from Azumarill. Belly Drum gives you a +4 to Physical Attack; combine that with the fact that Lucario nearly out speeds just about EVERY OTHER Pokémon, Extreme Speed hits about 100,000% of the time.
and i believe in a previous video copycat was able to to still copy a belly drum even though it failed cause if low hp so unless it was updated to not copy failed moves it should still work on failed moves

How to be safe in every situation. (1) have entry hazards (2) have Brick Break or Psychic Fangs (3) Have Clear Smog or force the opponent's Pokemon to switch moves (4) Priority Moves (5) Never miss moves (though most avoided using double team or minimize, but better safe than sorry) (6) entry hazards removing moves (be careful with defog). Now, the only reason why you lose is that your adversary out-powered you.
