- D9H episode 11 getting the hydraulic cylinders cleaned up and finding out the dozer lift ram barrels are junk, but I went to Dave's in Toole UT and bought some used ones, now off the Nampa ID to Advantage machine and hydraulics to have Andy weld new chrome rods on the cylinder eyes.. Hey Jeff, hope all is well in Blackfoot. I finally subscribed today been meaning to for long time. Originally I came from Moscow Idaho, but we moved to about as Far East as possible now live near Charleston SC. I really enjoy your video’s they bring back good memories of our many road trip back out there as most of the rest of our family lived in Boise, except for my aunt who is in Coeur d’Alene. Anyway we share a lot of traits I also fix everything I own, though by trade I am a carpenter, still have to have a truck that runs. Lol. Thank you for the time you take to entertain us.

I get seals from Dennis at Show Me Equipment in Joplin. They sell the same seals they install in their shop. You might give them a call for your seals. In my less than humble opinion, they are the go to guys for classic cat parts and repair in SW MO

Jeff, it's a shame that people don't make a little effort to maintain their equipment. The tolerances are so tight, it's certainly understandable that those barrels are junk. Great video.

That's a lot of work and a lot of money there. Too bad people hack the stuff, it's never the cheap way in the long run. Adds a lot of risk to buying an older machine. Hang tough and get Mr Griffey some rubber bones so he doesn't have to keep hiding his only treasure.

Great video Jeff. I wonder, do you think it’s possible for anyone who owns heavy iron to make it if they can’t do their own wrenching? It seems to me like it’s hardly possible. You have quite a lot of knowledge on the mechanical side of that, did you just learn by trial and error or what?

Mr griff is not going let you know where he’s burring his bone. That’s a lot of work for those ripper cylinders but I know they will be right.
Check out Hercules sealing products. Set yourself up as a dealer and enjoy the savings for years to come. If they don’t have the seal it doesn’t exist
