There are only benefits from fasting. And the best part is you don't get hungry anymore like you used to do, when you were eating carbs. No more crashes, ups and downs. Calmness follows, super sharp mind, natural high, normalised blood pressure, fat burning effect, positive mood, lots of energy, no inflammations, better sleep, great for the heart, brain, joints all organs. What's not to like? I mean. Hello. Life is wonderful.

😅 I legit just realized that I fasted a lot as a child because we were a little poor...not poor poor you know? But meals were definitely far and in between. Don’t feel sad because I am perfectly fine 😆 momma did her best and it was nine of us and she was alone, we ate when hungry not with emotions and out of habit; I didn’t have soda until I went to college and because of that I don’t have a problem ditching soda or any sugary drink because you were lucky to get ice water because that was a big deal lol. Also, when I was little the main event was to go outside and play! And I rarely got sick when I was a child. Children now days eat as soon as they rise out of the bed with bagels, cereal and orange juice. Just making light of it but I can see why I fasting wasn’t that hard for me 😄 but the benefits are very satisfying and the more I learn the more I grow.

Liz pa de Blessings Liz, If you can get Dr Bergs’ book, “The Body Type Diet” it tells you how to get healthy, lose weight and feel great. I started Keto with Doc 16 months ago and was amazed at the difference in my life. My health improved, my Rheumatoid Arthritis, aches and pains disappeared along with depression, lost a tonne of weight, my eyesight even improved. 😱 I got rid of all the Refined Carb’s, ( I’m Celiac and GF foods were nothing but concentrated Carb’s) Polyunsaturated oils, margarine and sugar. At 63 (feel like 15 again😘) I’m in the most spectacular health ever, saving a fortune (money in the bank) not buying the other rubbish. I eat butter, cream, organic bacon, fatty steak, free range eggs and the best of all these great foods. If you can’t afford the book don’t worry as I followed Doc here on RUclips for a few weeks before I got the book. Doc is always teaching and explaining health issues for us, things other Dr’s won’t tell you. They only want to prescribe pills, keep you sick and coming back to fill their bank account. Now I’m filling my own bank account, haven’t seen a Dr in months and never going to again, sticking with Dr Eric, won’t lead you astray. 👏🏻 He’s my godsend!!! 🥰 Hope I helped and not just rambled on, BUT this s life changing. 🤗 Wishing you all the best 🇦🇺 for a healthy future outcome. 😉

@@Drberg Had to break the fast at 39h. Started to feel very weak, shaking and faint. I don’t now if it was the vitamins I took (zinc&magnesium) or the apple cider vinegar + salt -water I had or the ginger tea i drank few sips, but I had a sudden urge to puke up and my heart beat really hard. After that i was too weak and ”sick” to continue and I started to drink oat milk and ate plum to break the fast and to have some sugar. Now feeling a little bit better.
Maybe more intermittent fasting and getting used to ketogenic diet first, then trying again. I did only 4 days intermittent fasting with my normal diet before going into prolonged fasting. Although, during that, I felt great. I even exercised.

Fasting is pretty amazing for me. Especially combining with 6,000+ steps a day. Even though Keto/Carnivore has already gotten me down to 132 pounds (I'm 5'6). I started at 172 pounds. I still I.F. once a week, or so. My main initial interest in Keto and fasting was that I used to have hypertension. No more. My heart is now awesome. 74/122 and 54 BPM.
    -
Experiment. The next time you are hungry. Go outside and mow your lawn. The walking, sunshine, and pushing will make your hunger go away.
    -
I will celebrate 1 year on Keto/Carnivore September 20th. A magnificent journey. If you are new to Keto, listen and learn.

Tom Have been Carnivore for 6 months now and feel absolutely amazing. Have started eating a banana a day lately. Can’t eat greens or salad veg’s, make me sick. It’s surprised me we don’t need vitamins as we get it from the meat we eat. Who thought Vitamin C would come from a cows’ meat? After being brainwashed to eat oranges etc. 🥴

At around 55 to 60 hr when I do a 72hr fast I start to whine when I talk. Cannot stop it,,, except go back to food and the whine will stay until the next day regardless of how much I refeed. Weird. Any ideas of why this happens?

I am 29 years old and diagnosed with stage 1 hypertension and on medication. I'm also overweight at 96kg for a 5'7 guy. Recently, I have also experienced terrible bouts of acid reflux. I used to eat 3 times a day and I believe the reflux is caused by my digestive system getting overworked.
When I started intermittent fasting earlier this month, I noticed my BP readings getting better. I now have an average reading of 112/77. It rarely goes higher than 120/80. I am still taking my meds but I'm hoping my dosage will be reduced or even stopped entirely when I visit my doctor next time.
I also lost weight. I'm now 3 weeks into IF and shed around 6 kgs. My acid reflux seem to have subsided as well. I'm no longer experiencing chest pains anymore.
I haven't shifted to Keto yet. As an Asian, it's hard for me to entirely cut carbs from my diet. But I am slowly making the transition. As Dr. Berg advised in his videos, you need to ease into it. For now my carb intake consists a mix of black and red rice. These are rich in antioxidants and anthocyanins.
I entirely cut out refined sugars from my diet. Until I saw Dr Bergs videos, I had no idea refined sugars were silent killers causing lots of diseases.
I am doing an 18/6 IF and during fasting I sustain myself by drinking 2 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil and ginger or turmeric tea. I once did a 24 hour fast and loved it. I wish i could take longer fasting windows. However, my medication doesn't allow me to do that at least for now.
It's still a long way to go but I found the right path with IF.

Glad to hear you are doing progress.
I am 29 years as well, and at 29 you should NOT take BP medications whatsoever man. My doctor wanted me to do that aswell, but hell now.
Go the natural way! Are you exercising? If not, go to the gymn 3-5 times a week, do 30 min of resistance training and 30-45 min of cardio (powerwalking/ellipticals/jogging..etc).
Studies have shown that after only 3 months of consistent exercising, you can lower your systolic bp by 12 points! Which is more than the medication. So with ZERO sideeffects.
Also continue fasting, increas potassium intake, like Dr. Berg says, eat a whole lot of veggies.
And I will almost guarantee you, you can get out of those toxic bp meds in just a couple of months.
