as a 58 year old high school science teacher, I love it when the students find out that their teacher is not as boring : but loves: Delain, Within Temptation (yes I am Dutch), Nightwish, and many more in that field.
Gothic/Symphonic Metal is simply majestic. I'd also recommend Pyramaze, they are a power metal band with quite dreamy songs on their first two albums, now they are comparably poppy.
This was the first Delain's song that I heard years ago. I still listen to this album occasionally. It is impossible to get tired from it. Can't believe that 14 years have passed since then.

I remember trying to look for an Evanescence song and i accidentally ended up clicking April Rain by Delain which was my introduction to this amazing band, it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me and i've been a fan ever since. I've been to every single Delain London show and they're absolutely incredible live. 12 years later and this still gives me chills everytime i hear those opening chords. Unbelievable!

i've seen all the bands also and delain is fucking great,and ive seen them live 6 times.nobody is better than nightwish but that's nightwish.i love mark of epica when I talk to him because hes very smart but epica isn't great.wt is the sound of delain vica versa mainy since martijn is Roberts brother and brother in-law of sharone.iam bias towards delain because when I broke my back in 06 I wanted to die but it was delain who hepled with my depression,it didn't cure it but helped.take care my friend and everyone has got their beliefs and I respect yours.i hope you had a happy holidays william
Funny thing that DelaIn's frontman (the keybordist) is the younger brother of Within Temptation's frontman and he also played keybords on their first (or first two, don't remember right) albums.
I still remember when I heard Frozen for the first time. I fell in love with Delain immediately. When this was released it just amplified it even more. I could never have a music library without them at this point. They are truly one of the best bands to ever do it.

This is the first metal video I ever watched. I was a child. Delain was one of the first metal bands I listened to. Eight years later this song is still beautiful.
Over 10 years later still love this song never gets old. 2 things about this song being great the melody and the vocals. I listen to al ot of progressive metal symphonic metal and classical, great music but a good vocal hook and melody the non musician can relate to.
I still remember downloading this on album release day. So long ago. The album is still epic in my book. Charlotte really came into her own here, especially in vocals.

Good but not special, the proof is most of people just remember them for this song, for Hietala being in the original lineup and for Charlotte who is a real beauty.

Why well I don't like flying and hearing there music and ever thing really helped me it was feel good music when I need feel good music. :) So I agree with you 100%.

Nope. He left WT for health issues and formed Delain about a year after once he rercovered.
