  • The Nonprofit Accelerator Series is a collaboration of Columbia Community Service and the M.S. Nonprofit Management program designed to help nonprofits and nonprofit leaders who serve Harlem and Morningside Heights thrive and grow.
    Guest Speaker Jessie Lee, M.S. Nonprofit Management Faculty member, covers practical ideas and options to build data-informed approaches to deliver evidence-based impact enabling organizations:
    To write grant proposals to demonstrate the need for programs and the effectiveness of your services/interventions through data;
    To integrate with existing program activities and processes to build data-driven approaches;
    To create a data-informed culture through policies and processes; and
    To manage documents for easy access while mitigating data breach and privacy risks.

    The M.S. Nonprofit Management Program at Columbia University will provide our students and alumni with the leading curriculum and professional credential in the nonprofit sector. Our program shall be viewed as a locus of thought leadership and research on nonprofits and philanthropy, and one that is grounded in equity and inclusion considerations, which are crucial to our nonprofit sector and the communities we serve.
    Our graduates will possess a grounding in the major management skills needed for this unique sector and the analytical framework to understand contemporary policy issues, leadership challenges, and ethical considerations.
    Located the New York City, the global center of the business and nonprofit world, Columbia's M.S. Nonprofit Management program prepares graduates to meet the challenge of measuring impact, doing more with less, and helping to meet unmet need here in the U.S. and around the world. The program's goal is that students gain the confidence, contacts, and knowledge needed to become effective and exemplary leaders in the nonprofit sector.
