Thanks rog. It works great. It’s great addition to the portable radio setup. I’ll be making a video soon of mobile cb and ham radio, using the solar and battery pack. Should be good fun

Hey man, great build. I got a question, a lot of people use solar charge controller they turn off when not in use but then they have to setup the chargecontroller each time. Are the settings of the victron saved in its memory or on the app or something? I just want a system that you can turn on and forget about. Thanks a lot for this nice build. Greetings from Belgium. Erik

Nice one James, been waiting for this one! I’ve got the same 50cal Plano box and wanted to see what battery you used as I’m looking to eventually swap out my 2x 10ah SLA’s for LifePo4. Great you can get 30ah in there and the Victron and the inverter! How do you find the battery, I saw a teardown of a 50ah version and it had pouch cells in which I wasn’t too sure about.

been waiting for this vid for a while :D
you can have over 7000 shot gun shells in your home in the uk and 600lr rounds. half the people i know have ammunition in the house :D
nice to see thick wire in there, so many people use wire that is not thick enough.
i have a victron inverter and the the same bluetooth dongle for it.
my charge controller is epever and gets really warm when its over 30v and doing its mppt magic but i do like to see the extra power going in from the mppt controller :D
my small portable solar power pack i built years ago got a bit big to be portable so now lives in the shed running power to the house so i have to now make a new smaller one for camping and radio work.
i have all ways used sla batteries in the past for the small portable systems but my eyes are now fully open to these lifepo4 batteries and i am waiting for a delivery of one to replace my flooded batteries in the shed.
next i am after a 10ah one for the next portable build :D

yea so ok, we can store amunition..I stand corrected :)
Yes, so I have used slightly larger wire than I needed. Im a strong believer in future proofing my projects. It makes sense also, remember, what can do a lot, can do a little.
Im looking forward to seing your battery video... I did see see the other week you were in discusions. Hope you get it soon.
I enjoy your videos on battery and solar projects. Keep it up and thanks for your support.
