Yes bro, I can relate this. There is big problem of accommodation in Germany from finding one place for staying to leaving that place. This is the biggest stress in Germany I have ever experienced in my life. Tolerating owner, problem with sub tenants, scams and torchering by owner, not getting deposit return, fighting on cleanig house and use of equipment, resist public nature and many things. There is always have issue with money loss or physical stress or mentally collapsed after looking these type of environment. we get into any trouble like police or advocate, we are helpless, even colleagues or roomates are not supportive. They just have polular feedback to avoid you or your situation..they just say "ALL THE BEST". Just be aware and stick to laws while living any type of house and take all insurance.

I think there are people that believe they have the right to do those kind of things to another person. I have a friend that had the same experience. You did good recording the stuff and calling the police. In this case, you had luck that your other flatmates support you against these agressions. The case of my friend is different, because the other flatmates align with the crazy girl, because she is nice with them. So the situation could have been worst for you.
I have been living in Germany for 9 Years. At the start i was only 19 years in 2015 old just finisehd high school and came to study. I had three traumatic experiences in three different WGs. It still affect me till now i developed somatic symtoms and must be doing rehabilitation because my body went in a shock condition. When i tell people my experience, they dont' believe me and say im exagerating. but for some of the experience i have eyewitness and they also. They would never believe if they never saw it with the eye. Apart from that i had also very bad experiences which would sound so unreal, so i prefer not to tell anybody. But i could not still not digest the events until now.
I am still in contact with 2 of my WG mates, they were all fine with me. She has moderate relationship with other flatmates, like when sometime when she goes out for grocery then she asks other WG mates if they need anything and if she could bring it for them. Well till this day, I don't exactly why she was like this with me. I also can't say that she was doing this because I am Muslim, because there was another guy from Syria who was more religious than me and she was fine with him.

This is absolutely not acceptable. Your landlord should have kicked her out and not telling you to ignore her. Here are my tips and opinion: 1. If you don't have the lawyer insurance and not earning much, you can definitely apply for a free consultancy from a lawyer and the government will pay for you. 2. If your lawyer says that this matter can be solved without going to the court meaning a settlement, then the government will again take your costs. 3. If the matter can only be solved in the court and if you lose your case, then you have to pay all the fees of your lawyer and the opponent lawyer as well. But if you win then you will not pay anything. 4. If you have money and don't have the insurance, then you should definitely go and file a case. At the end of the day it will cost you around 500-1500 euros. 5. Insurance companies will not take any responsibility at the beginning of 3 months and for any matter before the insurance. 6. Mathematically, it doesn't make any sense to have a legal insurance because it is very rare to become a victim of such incidents and if you don't have money, the government will help you. Secondly, you are paying every month 40 euros 💶 for an insurance for months and years and at the end of the day it will still cost you the same amount of money as without an insurance. If you have money then you can hire a lawyer with your pocket money and save your subscription money. Here are the must have insurances in my opinion: 1. Health insurance 2. Full Car insurance if you have a car All the other insurances that exist are only to make you fear and if you are really a bad human then you should take them.

Buddy … Desperate times desperate measures … I was living in Freiburg and finding a place there is also like Munich or Berlin. First I was looking for single room apartments but no luck. My older contract was already ended I was first living with a friend and then I started looking for the WG and got this.

I would think that throwing a glass at you would warrant some action from police anyways. Even if she is not there at the time, physical harm is serious enough issue that the police should pursue it at a later time, when she is back home.

They will think they can force their racist behavior on us as we are not local. they misuse the homeland advantages. something happed with me too. there was some furniture from the WG room which i was supposed to return with my room and all. i returned everything and legally moved out. after i just left, my landlord stolen the furniture from the wg room (she had the access to the room) , she now made police complain and try to frame me. she blame me that i made copies of the keys. ( well, she didn't wanted to give me my 900 euro deposit and tried to play game). I made a solid case with all the evidence and bam! I won. The advice is don't be afraid and be ready to deal with police and a lawyer. you will get justice.

I have lived with Germans before and never had any issues from a racial perspective. I left Germany and got a job in the US. I left Germany because money is not Good, High taxes and Ich kien spreche Duestch. Cold hearted people. Life is much better in the US.
Every second or third person is on therapy in Germany. It is possible that you trigger someone the wrong way, perhaps unintentionally. And then they simply cant move on or let go. No sane person would react like that even if you eat their food or change the settings on a washing machine. But then there's not much we can do as the person in question is already suffering from a disorder. Yes, legal heath insurance is a must

Tbh indians are no different. My indian friends also had problems with other flatmates in a WG. According to them, they were too loud in the kitchen and obviously ddnt clean things. I also see them speaking loudly in trains and public transport. Also, the smell of indian food can be very annoying for some foreigners. Cant do much about the smell of the food but we must take care of cleanliness and try not to be loud. Many desis dont even use earphones and start playing videos at full volume without any shame. There are a lot of things we desis need to learn

It was a new WG, Landlord selected everybody. Landlord renovated the apartment and chose himself each person.
