He's employed so many different flows , tones , pacing and everything that is involved with writing and song making. You can't sit here and say there aren't verses or tracks that aren't sweet on the ears. He still sounds amazing. I find it very easy to listen too. He's not the same style of rapper as he was in his thirties. So when technyne is doing fast shit all the time or Joyner rocks it they sound amazing right? How does it not sound nice on the ears. I'm baffled dawg

I think Twista said it best. "Rappers secretly fear each other".
These rappers aren't untouchable. It's the fanbases that makes it seem so nowadays.
That's why EM doubled down on Cannibus. He went bar for bar with Em, but Em took the jester route and ate him sideways. The fans doubled down on the clowning and that took Cannibus off the map.
I fuck with Eminem heavy. He's very technical. When Rakkim gave him his flowers, it was one of the best moments in his life.
Btw Rakkim sits above his top 5, Along with Pun, Papoose, MF Doom, etc
The Game is a straight up MC. Don't take anything away from him. He earned more than just respect. His impact was linear with 50 cent. They were the hardest to ever touch the mic. So many classics and platinum albums

With that being said he had to learn how to rap sober and what he has put out since the chloraseptic remix has been nothing but insane. As a Ole head, hip hop nerd. I was 21 when Em 1st dropped. It took till mmlp & 8mile soundtrack for him to be solidified to me.
Scru, you've watched his career too. He's always looked for a new challenge & push his game to a different level and not sound like he did on prior albums.
It's not like he can't do mmlp & tes type of flows, obviously his content gonna be different, he's pushing 50., we all grow up.
I kno a lot of Em fans love Relapse & the accents. I appreciate the word play & word bending, but I thought the accents were a lil too much. To me, he combo'ed what he worked on with Relapse & Recovery to make his most slept on album. Imho mmlp2.
It's kind of like the complex. pocket rapping he does now. He used Revival & Kamikaze, to master it on m2bmb.
I break up his career in 3rds.
I'm not a 100% sure he would have had the same longevity if he just stayed with same flows and cadences he used early on. Many of my favorite artists stayed within the lane that blew them up, and didn't try and evolve, and they ended up fallen off cause so much ish sounded the same.
I'm not gonna hate on him for that, I like different albums, for different reasons.

      About 5 years ago, on his album Jesus Piece, the song is Can't Get Right, he says;
"Dre promised me records, I never got 'em
That's why I had nightmares that a ni**a shot him
For all my albums missed records
Felt he shitted on me for Kendrick, recorded diss records
And Kendrick, my nigga, put him on his first mixtape
I pop champagne when I heard he was with Dre
And I'm tellin' y'all this true story 'cause I'm real
Dre, first time, hearing 'bout it, wonder how he feel
'Cause I feel like shit severin' the relationship
The only doctor I knew to make all of his patients rich
      Snoop, Pac, 'em, 50
Me, K Dot, watch us do a 360
Plus The Documentary saved me from penitentiaries
I ain't trippin', niggas been disloyal for centuries
Finally got the crown, this motherfucker meant for me
Funny how you do your top 5's and don't mention me
      Fuck 'em all"
So this is not new, he's been feeling this way. People focus only on it now because he mentioned Eminem.

Em did this and didn't even sound like he was trying to spazz js 🤷‍♂️ no wonder Game slobbed Em's knob for 15+ years
The way Em used to ride the beat though goddamn shits crazy 🙃

Nobody else notice Game is using Em's cadence on both verses? First verse, 8 Mile Road, second verse from "I Am". Same rhyme scheme, same cadence.

I love this song, and I can't lie, Em has the best verse, but Game has my favorite moment on the whole song. When he goes into Em's Way I Am flow, "I don't care if the radio don't play me, I say what I say when I feel like I'm feeling today..." I love that shit so much.

When I first heard about Game's recent comments on Em, "Em just killed me on my own shit" was the FIRST LINE THAT I THOUGHT OF!! 🤣 You're right about it coming back to bite him because now he wants to stir shit up, but yet, he told everybody that Em killed him!! On his own shit!!! 🤦🏽‍♂️

Im all for the beef, Em is the goat, Game kinda fell off but he good too. This song is a bad example of him tho. While his flow and word play is on point if you listen he basically copped ems flow from another song and altered the word to fit his criteria but said the same shit. Its like when the teacher says dont copyright word for word on a report and you last minute that shit in a slighty different context.

The intentional stutter you have to master in order to do em’s “different days just with different gangstas in your face which” part is insane. Shit took me a week of having this track on repeat with a lyric sheet printed out back in the day just to get that part down. That’s how we used to do shit back in the day 😂😂😂😂

I try to explain it sometimes how a song can make you feel such emotional energy … the only words I can find is … I want to be inside the music …
