Speaking of boxers or MMA fighters having to be super confident in their abilities, one of my favorite moments ever in the UFC was in The Ultimate Fighter, when someone asked Cody McKenzie how he could possibly beat Marc Stevens. Cody said something to the effect of, "Well, he's bigger than me. He's stronger than me. He's faster than me. And he's a better fighter than I am". Nam Phan goes, "Well then what are you going to do?" and Cody responds, like it's the most obvious thing in the world, with "...I"m going to win." And then he does, in about 12 seconds.
Yup, because you heard and seen was a fighter then KNEW what he was up against and he was going to lie to himself, because all the does is get your ass beat later when reality put him against your lies. So with his knowledge of the what he is about against and knowing his odds of winning he probably trained his ASS OFF. You don't generally see shit like that in hip hop though because its basically a part of hip hop to always think you're the best at what you do and no one can touch you even if that is the furthest things from the truth.

I'm not exactly an Em stan either, but I think people are underestimating how his songs hit live. They think he's got stuff like Stan that's slow and can't get a crowd up, but wait until that sample drops and the crowd starts singing along like it's Elton John. Hip hop doesn't really know the power of a ballad live. It rocks the halls in a different way. It's the same with tracks like Cleaning Out My Closet and Toy Soldiers. These are breaks in between the Lose Yourselfs, Til I Collapses, The Way I Am, Forgot About Dre and the features like What's The Difference and Renegade. Whoever he's up against tries to turn up with a secondary record and he drops one of them shits that gets people's lighters in the air. It's not gonna go the way you think. None of these other artists have shit like that. Ironically, Game actually does... but nobody really knows them like that. lol

2. The handful of artists who are GOAT status, wouldn't want to risk tarnishing their legacy. Eminem wouldn't want to do that to them either.
3. The battle wont change any hater's opinions. They'll continue to shit on him and might use the battle as fuel to shit on him more.
4. It would turn into a race thing and it would cause more divisiveness.
In the end, even if he wins, he loses. He has to worry about all of these outcomes because not only is he the most popular rapper, he is also a white rapper in a predominantly black industry.

So I'm more familiar with soundclash culture than verzuz. In a Verzuz can only use tunes from own projects? or can he use tunes he was featured on? (like Forgot About Dre). Em has come a long way from underground freestyle battling to who he is today. The guy has been through thick and thin struggling promoting himself as a rapper til Dre show up. Yes, majority of his opponents were weak especially Mariah, Nick Cannon, Ray Benzino, Everlast, Ja Rule and MGK. Half of these chumps were just easy targets for Em to dissed on except the one that's used to battle him like Juice and Rhymefest back in Scribble Jam Rap Olympic '97. Em hasn't battled anyone that's equal to his talent and skill wise except for the two names I just mentioned above. Game comes off bitter and corny by making comments trying to battle EM to see whose the better rapper while being drunk and high. Remember what Em said, "he'll battle anyone" just to prove how good he is, those were his words in the old days. If Game got the balls and guts, let him go at Em, challenge whatever baggage or emotional feelings they had inside to see whose the best.
Hey if you got nothing else to lose beside the things that's around here in your life just toss it aside, they're always there at the end. But dignity and pride is the most important aspect of life, it's who you are and what you become. You lose that, it's gone forever. It's why most rappers don't have it what takes nor they took things that's around them too important. They're too afraid. They're too comfortable within the circle, never wanting to get outside to see what's on the other side of the spectrum. At least give it a try, it will definitely change your mind and view. This is why I always challenge the notion of this quote "grass aren't always green on the other side" It's kind of a Ying and Yang energy, the best way to restore this is balance by self improvement. This isn’t really a good move by Game. He’s one of my favorite rappers. Every album Game Has put out I’ve went out and bought. I actually think he’s one of the most underrated lyricist in hip-hop but what he’s doing now is going to backfire and I think harder than he whatever expected. I’m also a fan of Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Kendrick, Dogg Pound, basically the NWA family tree. And I know there’s a lot of other people like me out there that aren’t nearly as open minded but he’s got to understand A lot of the same people that buy his albums are also part of the people that by Eminem albums. No dude you weren’t at the Super Bowl performing with the headliners but neither was Xzibit, WC, Kurupt or Obie Trice. But everyone I just named gave a shout out to the people that were at the Super Bowl. He knows lyrically he’s not as good as Eminem and that doesn’t mean he’s bad at all there’s a lot of people that aren’t as good as Eminem. But turning on the people that help put you on like Dr. Dre who signed you to Aftermath, 50 Cent who also cosigned you to G-Unit, Eminem who was part of the aftermath team that helped roll your album out and was even on that album, and Snoop Who even after all the beef with 50 and after you were off aftermath records when no one else in that family tree would touch you Snoop Took you out on tour with him as a co-headliner. These are the people that supported you and kept you going the first three or four years of your career strong. Get it ain’t like snoop and Dre just left him out there hanging. Game was on Dr. Dre’s third album. I don’t think a majority of his fan base really appreciate him doing this. I’m still going to buy The album because I don’t really care about that I imagine somewhere down the line that this will all be patched up later and he will be working with those guys again. But there are a lot of people that are diehard loyalist to aftermath/shady that might have been still supporting him but might just say it’s time to throw in the towel. Hey man I wish his career would’ve been right up there with 50 and Em’s but that didn’t happen and he hast to take some responsibility for that because he hasn’t always made the best choice. This is another example of him making a bad career move.
