haha! "only going to get Harry Potter sets..." Seems that went out the window! chuckles, the Lego lies we tell ourselves. :) Wow, the eye candy behind you. All those wonderful sets. Nice!
Learning about lego background journeys is so much fun! I also re-started collecting lego last August with Harry Potter, and swore I would only get the HP sets, haha. I think it was through your channel that I first learned of modulars, and have now started my modular journey as well - working on Assembly Square currently! I wish I would have started my channel sooner, but watching your channel grow has been an inspiration! Yes to a Lothlorien MOC! And yes to Tower of Orthanc as well. Great choices.
Awesome Q&A video. Always nice to get to know youtubers better. Also nice to see a little teaser of the 3rd level of your city. Can’t wait to see that next update. Catch you on your next live stream. Houdoe! 👋🏻
I loved your video's and you personally is wonderful. I am starting to like the Botanical collection and would like to know: What is your Favorite Flower ?
Absolutely brilliant Q&A! I’m obsessed with your dancing and singing at the end of your videos. Agree with another comment about Highteatoys merch, take my money!!
Great and interesting video! I do admit when finding new Lego channels on YT, I very selfishly always kinda want them to stay small because ... I don't know ... they all got a certain charme to them that gets lost when the channel grows. Like Robin Hood Bricks for example ... he still makes good videos, but at some point the channel lost it's heart, so to say. Same goes for PotterMinifigPals. Ah well, I hope your channel prospers nonetheless! For the question, I actually have a 'meta' one: What kind of questions do you like to answer the most / the least and why? Regarding Ninjago City Gardens: You should build Ninjago City then. It was even more amazing to build (same for the small stories but with the elevator connecting them all logically) and isn't as fragile as the Gardens are (every time I dust them off, I'm close to a heart attack because I fear the build will fall apart). ;)
Great comment, you actually touch upon something I have been thinking about as well. Though the fact that I can make a tiny bit of money from RUclips is super helpful to keep this going, I also really like this being a small channel as the interactions in the comments are just so wonderful. I feel so happy that people that watch my videos are willing to leave long comments where we can chat about our love for Lego. That is totally what I do this for. I have never looked at the analytics of my videos and hope to never do, I make the videos I want to make and when I have something to share, not to please the algorithm. As this is my hobby that is the most important thing. I hope the fantastic people supporting this channel appreciate that :) I will make a note of your question for next time ;) Also YES I really want Ninjago City. I got really close to buying it before Ninjago City Gardens was announced as I found one new in box for £300 but when the new one was announced all of those were snapped up and the price skyrocketed, 100% pushing it out of my budget and definitely out of my comfort zone. Here is to hoping that I can find one one day.
@@HighTeaToys I instantly bought the Docks when the Gardens where announced and was lucky to find a Norwegian seller with a fair price (prices skyrocketed since then). Haven't built it yet, though (space issues :/). Regarding channel growth: You've got a great attitude - that should be rewarded for all the time and effort you put into this (even though it's a hobby). I just hope YT allows for that even if you don't want to make a business out of it. ;) Ah, and regarding your equipment: ALWAYS buy Lego. Picture quality is just fine. ;P
Great first q&a. When watching the outro I wondered if you ever thought of becoming a professional singer / dancer instead of a RUclipsr 😜. Just kidding you are doing great Jo
Ninjago City Gardens for the Win! Seriously like ALL the lego channels point this set out as their fave. Anyway the ninjago city gardens got me hooked back into Lego....I now have otherninjago sets (lloyds legendary dragon and the Ultra Combo mech) and they are also absolutely amazing. The wow factor on all 3 of these sets is hard to put into words and they all seem huge and well worth the price...yes I mean it when I say it well worth the price. Now I want to add to the Ninjago City and boy are the creative wheels spinning. Lego castle is super cool two...Highly recommend that new castle for anyone who can drop $400 on it. So I was late on a mortgage payment...so what?
Will you be trying to connect the different levels of your city in some way? Zig zagging set of stone/wood stairs, waterfalls, rock, or tunnel facades similar to shytimeismytime?
I have been thinking about it. Originally I was going to make a waterfall. The thing that makes that quite hard is the space between shelves is quite big so it would need a lot of parts. But definitely an idea I am toying with :)
Ahm yeah, how do I afford Lego is the Question I always ask myself and then I‘ll end up with like 20 Sets a Year I miss out on and regret not getting 🤦♂️😢😭 Yeah okay probably like 40 Sets a year 😂🤦♂️😭 my most expensive Set is the 200$ Tantive IV but I wouldn’t say that it was the best building experience that was probably the Boba Fett Helmet because I watched Episode 5 while building it and to me the Building experience is extremely important and I‘ll always remember that build 😍 and I love Rivendell the elvish Architecture is so beautiful 😍
Ik wist niet dat je ook Nederlands bent! :D Vraagje: welke roadplates gebruik jij? Ik zoek roadplates die goed passen bij mijn modular buidings, aangezien ik niet ben begonnen met het bouwen van mijn Lego city.
No we should be saying thank you to you for giving us the years are giving us Lego how many people out there are used to follow them all gone least you started only going strong so they do I also follow you on Instagram
Highteatoys: "Harry Potter is my first true love".
Ben: "Am I a joke to you?"
😂😂😂
AskJo: What types of Modular Buildings would you love to see Lego do in the future (e.g. Hospital, School, etc)?
Awesome question. It has been noted. Also love the ‘AskJo’ 😊

"its so waaarm" is the HighTeaToys equivalent of Kylie Jenner's "rise and shine". I want all the "its so waaarm" merch 🤣

See, we have to spend the money in order not to regret things in the future :p
👏👏👏😃👍
I spy an added shelf...
I am pleased.
Indeed indeed. Little teaser there. I’ll do a super quick update on that later on the week. 😊
I would love an Ideas green house and a well mad and big Hospital not like the city which is too small .
HTT: "I wish Lego would bring back Lord of the Rings."
2023: Wish granted (for $500 *cough, cough*)
HTT: What was that?

You know you have to keep singing now at the end of your videos. lol
I have chosen my fate 😂😅
