- Hey guys so in today’s video I’ll be replacing the switches on my drivers seat because the switch to make the seat recline forward was going out on me, it would recline back but not forward

Thanks for this! I just took my Camaro to a dealership to fix it. They said it would cost me $800 so I said screw that and I found this video. Massive help!
Bro… I appreciate you figuring this out because you just saved me a lot of money… Thanks
Changed mine out today!
Thank you. You are so good at making it simple and ow and assuming nothing. I loved how you encountered snags and kept that in video. I'm about to do my first power switch with this video.❤
Just fixed mines thank for the help! 👍🏾
THANKS PAL...EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE. PERFECT!
Glad I could help!!
Thank you so much! I was able to fix it no problem!
Good video! Now I know thanks to you.
Awesome man super detailed! Good job!
Thank you!
I try making my install videos as detailed as possible to help out the most I can!
This was pretty helpful for me, I need to replace the plastic side cover for the driver seat and couldn't figure out how the caps for the buttons came off, and didn't want to just pull or pop them off but I guess that's how it's done.
Honestly I didn’t know how it was done either but it works and it doesn’t break anything so I guess it is how it’s done lol
@@nationaloutlaws4818 this is great information what’s the name of the switch tho?
@@TChapmantheartist I’ll do you one better

My 2010 camaro is the same problem u had with driver seat reclines back but cant go up and its uncomfortable driving with seat all the way back. So i replace seat switch should work after that ?
8:08 switch removal
I have a 2015 Camaro but my seat goes forward but not backwards. It use to go backwards every now and then but now it doesn't go backwards at all only forward. You think that's related to a bad switch? The seat on the passenger side works fine.
Honestly yes I do, that’s exactly what mine did when the switch started to fail on me , I would check fuses but more than likely it’s the switch, which isn’t hard to replace and actually not all that expensive so before going to get it professionally check out I would check fuses and order the switch, if the new switch is doing it send it back to the seller which won’t cost you a thing to send it back, get a refund then get it professionally checked out, it’s the best option and cheapest first
@@nationaloutlaws4818 Thanks man, I actually tried to move the seat backwards last night while driving and now it works but im sure its the switch like you said. Thanks again
Of course, glad I could help!
I got that same problem going on with mines. Thanks
Thanks big dawg! Literally had the same issue with mine, you’re a life saver
Thank you for this this is helpful,
My seat is stuck in recline you think it's the switch it would go back but not forward?
My guess is yes, it’s probably the switch, since the seat uses the same motor to recline and go back also, so if it’s reclining but not going back, my guess is A. The switch is going out
B. There’s a wiring issue
C. You blew a fuse (unlikely)
The switch is pretty cheap and easy to replace I would do that, and if that’s not the problem I would send the new switch back for a refund and look at fuses before dealing with wiring
@@nationaloutlaws4818 thank you I bought the switch and it came by today I replaced it and now it does work it goes up now but the thing is when I go up it feels like it lost some power
Could be the motor going out, that I’m not so sure I’m sorry I can’t help with that since I’ve never experienced it yet
Thanks really helpfull
I have a 2010 camaro passenger seat works perfectly but driver seat is having trouble moving forward it goes backwards not forward tho u think i need to replace the switch how u did it and where u ordered yours
I think if it’s not having a problem going backwards then it shouldn’t have a problem going forward either, so me personally I would replace the switch to see if it fixes the issue I ordered the witch on eBay link is in the description also if it’s still doing it after installing the new switch it’s definitely not the switch which in that case I would return the new switch to the eBay seller and get my money back and install the old one, so technically if it is the switch great if it’s not then there is no loss because you can return it for your money back
@@nationaloutlaws4818 cause my driver seat the recline only goes backwards not forward and the seat moves front and back with the other button
@@andrescastorena9604 I would change the button
@@nationaloutlaws4818 yeah because the recliner button doesn't work only works going backwards not forward tho so u think I should replace the button only or try the switch first to see if works
Replacing the button would be harder cause you would have to disassemble the switch to get to the button, I would replace the switch
What are those buttons called?! My kids stepped on mine n they popped off n I've never saw them again... Im trying to buy them but can't find them bc idk what they're called
The buttons them selfs or the buttons and the actual module?
Awesome video
Thank you💪!
Big help bro, thank you
For sure!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!
Glad I could help
What kind of screw driver do I use
If I remember correctly it’s a #2 Philips screwdriver
Como puedo pedir la parte por favor

Thanks pal
Of course!
Anything to help out!
I switched it and the seat is still stuck. Any tips?
Your motor probably went out I would look up some forums and try to send the power straight to the motor to make sure it’s working properly
he did tgat with one hand tied behind his back
There are no torx head screws or fasteners involved in removing/replacing the power seat switch. "X screw..."?! You seriously don't know what that's called?! That's a phillips head screw... Probably the most common type of fastener in the WORLD.
I'm out after that. Sorry, but it's hard to take advice or watch an instructional video from someone who misidentifies a phillips head as a torx.
Holy hammer mechanics, Batman. smh
Nice coke nail bro lol
Definitely not a coke nail, never done it and never will thanks tho
That's for picking buggers out of his nose.
@@737mechanic finally 😂😂😂😂
Hmmmm not helpful , you just remove and put it back without showing us how you put it In . SMH
Smh it was pretty straight forward with explanation of anything I did off of camera 😅
A lot of the other people that watched says it helped them so as I read your comment I’m quite confused at what your not understanding 🥲
