I’m close friends with D’arcy she’s basically my adopted mom, she told me that the adore photo sessions were her favorite of all pumpkin photos. I sent her this video and she loves it.
If this is true I hope and wish her well! I miss the days of when she was active with fans on Facebook, but totally understand wanting privacy. A shame thick headed Bill and her couldn’t fully make amends.
@ yes, it’s 100% legit in person real life have known her for 6 years and I’m engaged to her ex bf who she was with on and off before me. That’s how we met. Her farm and horses are amazing.
@ I rarely talk about her but I had to show her this! Thank you !!! We are friends on Facebook I have photos from the tonight tonight paintings idk if you’ve seen them it’s been a few years since I posted. Great job grim life!!! Love y’all!
Trees are the lungs of the planet. I would be suspicious of anyone who doesn't at least feel the loss when they die. I take some comfort at least in a wildfire, the burned nature helps replenish the land for new growth. There is nothing wrong with feeling bad/sad/heartbroken for the loss of any sort of life. It was a living thing. It deserves, at minimum, our respect. You, Michael, showed that treat much respect. Thank you, sir.
They really go the extra mile, these two, don't they (especially on this one, eh, Michael? lol)? There are so many channels on YT who make money just reviewing other people's videos, or just sit there blabbing away and staring at themselves. It's so lazy. The Grimmlife duo works so hard, travel all the time, and have really interesting topics. Two faves of mine are the Labyrinth location video spanning 2 continents, and the Pet Sematary video. That one was spooky and surreal and they really went all out.
Documenting moments in time, that's all we can do. You didn't get to see it standing, but at least you got to see it at all. It's amazing that it's not just ash after the fire.
Also, I LOVE the Pumpkins. As a Chicagoan, they were our hometown group we cheered for as they got bigger and bigger. It's awesome you're such a big fan too.
You made the comment in the video, sometimes you feel Bat Crap Crazy for traveling all around the world for some of these videos. I'm so happy that you do. I look forward to your videos. When I get a notification that there's a new video, it just makes my day Thank You
I was working a wrestling event and met Billy and he approached me and I was shook cause I'm a huge fan. I also got to work their show not long ago which was an amazing experience!
The very first record i bought on vinyl back in 1999, also my favorite Smashing Pumpkins album. Your video takes me back to that age of innocence.. thank you Michael.
“Bat crap crazy” made me think of the Cheshire Cat saying we are all mad here but instead it’s “we are all crazy here” 😂 but mannnnn the hike! Hike of hell? Did anyone stop and ask if you needed a ride? Haha wonder if that truck thought you were a hitchhiker lol and I love your PG sayings by the way 😂 truly the best I’m going to start using them now haha long and beautiful walk for sure and loveeee the drone shots really sets the tone of the setting of beauty! So incredibly sad the fires took out the beautiful tree! 😢but amazing that you found where it was! And you hiked all the way to it! Wildfires take away so much beauty of nature and wildlife many things are lost. But it’s the rebirth or revival of the things lost. Though it’s sad this tree was lost, there’s beauty growing all around it, as it lies there as a grave almost, the beauty and memory will always live on. Love you guys so much thank you for the adventure always💚🦇👻❤
@@grimmlifecollectiveyessss! Omg this needs to be a thing! It shall be added to the to do list! The Grimm Dictionary is in the works! And it might take less time to write than a normal book! 😂
First of all, thank you for your content. I love the nostalgia that you bring. I mean that you Michael and Bby Ghoul deliver an explanation and still invite nostalgia. I don’t like to get caught up in nostalgia because it makes me feel a lot However, to stimulate my brain in these nostalgic moments, I don’t fall, into a hole And I never knew how much I would enjoy this until you created this so thank you for your genius moments in content My favorite by far has been the lost boys. I was obsessed with that movie and so was my best friend PS your nails look fabulous! thanks Y’all
Yay! Another Pumpkins related video. I also adore ADORE. It's an album I discovered in my teens (in the early 2000s) and that evokes so many memories and mixed emotions. It takes me back to a very specific place and time in my life.
that drone footage of you walking up looked super cool it would also look cool in black and white as a photo and video! Once again always great content!! Best on youtube!!
Ah the Pumpkins. Fellow Illinoisans. I just watched the video for Ava Adore cuz i haven't heard it in so long and it's a good ass song. Great video Michael. Happy Halloween to you too.
Thank you for introducing another great Band, very cool! It is sad about the fire, and seeing all those trees destroyed. You gave here a nice tribute video, a great job indeed! Thank you Michael, sorry i am a bit late, relatives issues 😊
I really like the photography of the cover of that Album, even though I never heard it... I REALLY like this Lone adventure of this episode----- makes the viewing all that more sweeter. I love the help you got from the Park Ranger, and others in the area, and that really makes all the difference, seeing your filming travails arising. Sorry, about the fate of that tree... Love your coverage, and I hope to see you at a convention some time, so I can talk about my favorite episodes of TGLC.... Much love, and be safe.... Happy Halloween..... :^)"""""""
Thank you as always. And when I was there it really felt in the middle of nowhere but then when I got home and started editing the footage…I felt like I was on a distant planet.
It's so sad the tree is no more it would be awesome if someone went out there and planted a new tree in hoping that some of the old tree sap would help and fuse with the new. Michael you must be really tired after all that Hexeriseing. But you did good and didn't give up.. just amazing! Happy Spooky Halloween 👻 🎃 🤪 Michael & Jessica..
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Its a shame about the fires. I'm in Australia, so this really hit home for me. The worst fires we've ever had were only a few years ago, so I can relate to the news footage you included. On a lighter note, I noticed on the slip of photos you showed at the start were taken on Kodak Tri-X film. This is a film I like using a lot, & used a few rolls on my recent trip to Italy & the UK. Hope you have a great New Year!
This is amazing man I love the smashing Pumpkins I have an Adore tour t shirt this was my go to album during some of my darkest times what a treat thanks Grimmlife ❤
there are many other locations you can still find from their albums, and videos, fan of the band, and it was good that you at least showed us what you did, on to the next!
Hey! Great video as always!! And that is totally something I would do 😂 walk halfway only to realise you can drive, and then you get there and the tree is no more 😢, then you realise you forgot your water, but we appreciate your sacrifice and totally agree those views were worth it and would have been missed, so wasn’t all in vain! Was still interesting even if it was just the corpse, love the drone footage too! Hope you didn’t encounter any snakes on your hike back 🐍🙈 until next time xx🖤xx
Well that was a wicked video. I love the pumpkins and crestfallen is my fave from that album. Your right, those pictures are haunting. What a tree hey!
By the time Adore came out, Jimmy Chamberlin was out of the band because of his drug use. If you're ever in Chicago, I encourage you to check out the Metro. That's where it all started for the Pumpkins. Thanks for the video!
Thank you Michael, great video! You have an amazing creative eye and it keeps getting better! I share your emotional connection to parts of history & nature. So glad you reached out and touched it! Happy Halloween!
Hey ghouls!! This was an excellent video. I love how in depth you are with all your uploads. Love you both!! 👍❤️👍 So sad fire destroyed the tree and all the acres around it. 😢
Thank you so much bro Michael for sharing this awesome video about the Smashing Pumpkins band I never heard of him but they sound like a wonderful singer artist I will look them up have a wonderful day where sis Jessica happy Halloween be safe❤❤❤❤❤

Amazing video Michael! Such a bummer that the tree burned down 😢 but at least some of it remains thanks for sharing this with us it was a beautiful tree reminds me of something Tim Burton would’ve loved to see or put into one of his movies love you and Jessica so much Happy Halloween 🎃🦇💀😈👻🖤🖤
My favorite was always Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, listened to that CD a million times as a teen. Crazy that the tree is still there (most of it anyway) lol. One of the best album from Smashing Pumpkins in my opnion, so magical, so dark.... beautiful aesthetic musical and visual
Great band, great album and great video as always!

@grimmlifecollective i bet it was.
The smashing pumpkins is a amazing band
You really gave this one your all! Thank you!
I was working a wrestling event and met Billy and he approached me and I was shook cause I'm a huge fan. I also got to work their show not long ago which was an amazing experience!
I love the song 1979 it a amazing song and video too
Billy Corigan and the Smashing Pumpkins never sold their soul to the music industry. God bless them. F the music industry.
How very fitting that you visit the corpse of the adore tree. How grimly ironic, as always thank you for one of a kind content.
Similar to the U2 Joshua Tree. It’s fallen over since the photos were taken but you can still visit the “corpse”.
Your videos have a way of taking me back 👻 Happy Halloween 🎃
Glad we can take you on a journey. Thank you for watching.
😢😢😢😢😢
The place should put a huge rectangular post sign to say what days you can and can't drive back there
Cool album cover and back
The very first record i bought on vinyl back in 1999, also my favorite Smashing Pumpkins album.
Your video takes me back to that age of innocence.. thank you Michael.
Such a great video as always. I adore Smashing Pumpkins too. Shame the trees not standing but still cool you went out there for you and us.
An amazing album ❤
Even in its current state, the tree looks beautiful.
I remember being struck by the strange beauty of that photo when I got the CD back in the day. An underrated album, and a great vlog idea!

Yes yes and yes. There are more Hitchcock videos coming in January. Stay tuned.
A man telling stories about a tree and looking for this one tree - great story.
Some Great Hovering above you Shots , i never knew Baby Gaul Gaul hover 👻 Great Vid
Awesome video
I'm almost 40 now and I remember when I was 15 listening to this album in my bedroom all the time after school. One of their best in my opinion
You are such wonderous people. I love your unity. Advantageous souls wondering the earth. I love this.
It's sad about the tree and actually all the vegetation.
I'm in Illinois and when I see these fires I feel so bad for the animals and people who are in the path of these fires.
Thank you Michael for going out in the heat and hiking to find this tree.
Great Video, that poor tree
New video yay 😮😅🎉
Surprise! Hope you enjoy the adventure.
Cool video! I am a huge fan of The Smashing Pumpkins 🎃🎃🎃! I remember listening to the CD Simese Dream over and over again! And Adore is one of my favorite songs, too! ❤️
The bold guy in the video's miniature reminds me that weirdo killer from the movie "The Cell" . I think that was a very good movie that unfortunately got very little recognition.
Excellent video .
How fitting. Adore is also one of my favorites, despite what (some) of the critics were saying back then. And just now spent my earned free time listening to Smashing Pumpkins for nearly all night

another thing about it is it survived that fire so you could still see it so that's another good thing
My favorite was always Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, listened to that CD a million times as a teen. Crazy that the tree is still there (most of it anyway) lol. I’d take a piece of the tree and put it in like a little glass vial or something since the tree will rot away eventually, maybe encase a little piece in resin
Perfect is probably my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song, first time I ever heard that song it just delivered. Was introduced to them on Siamese Dream but that song always does it.
That's very sad.
Super cool stuff brother
Fires always seem to ruin everything =[, at least they kept the corpse, so to say, just like they did in England with Elizabeth's Oak (has a rich history to it as well, but it's about Elizabeth I and her parents Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn). Do you think they'll keep the corpse or make it something commemorative for all the art that has been created there? Also love the music you use in your videos, it's absolutely haunting. Have you created those masterpieces yourself?
It would be really cool if they did something to commemorate it but sadly…I think our video might be the only thing. Thank you so much for watching.
