Thanks for showing. For carrying this knife, the boys had to pass an exam. The so called "Pimpfenprobe", which consisted of sport and some history.
And after passing......they hat to buy the knife for themselfes.
    Greetings from Austria

As far as i know, the sport- tasks were a 60m dash in 12 seconds, a 25m volleyball throw and a 2.75m long jump.
PS: If the stamped soldier on the blade is a knight, its made by Kuno Ritter, Solingen.

Finally picked up my HJ knife I bought a full year ago, cuz the guy in Minnesota wouldnt mail to me in Canada thanks to our, paradoxically, fascist government confiscating them!
This is a LEGAL product in Canada and you can get them online...only of course for THREE TIMES the price of a US seller...So I had him ship it to my buddy in Florida, and he only just was able to drive it to Buffalo where I crossed over and brought it back with zero issues
..LOL, he was scared to bring it over himself, since he is a Canuck and trying to relocate he and his family and business (LEGALLY) to the States, and didnt want to "risk" anything with the border folks...Many eye-rolls!
Anyway..it's a beautiful piece with the motto, and made by "TIGER!!" (seems appropriate!), AND is acid-etched on the reverse with "Plon", which is a castle town in northern Germany which had a Prussian military academy...so Im guessing this was issued to some hard-assed kid!..I wish there was some way to tell that kids family I have their grand-dads' knife, OR the American vet who brought it home....that it's now in MY good home, and I will cherish their trophy for the rest of my days!

Buying and selling of NAZI articles marked with a Swastika, is a very touchy subject throughout Europe. When I was a kid, you could still find lot's of items, in situ , in bunkers and stuff people had collected just after the war. What grates with people like me, now officaially 'The Older Generation' is the price premium some will pay, because it has a Swastika! But! If you don't put the history of such objects, in there context , the mystique rules. Thanks for doing so. Vist the Falaise Gap. Go to the river ford, then imagine an entire army trying to get across it!

That’s the unfortunate thing is there are definitely people in America (and elsewhere I imagine) who collect such items because they actually follow the ideology, thus making we who collect for historical purposes look bad

I have one of these with the etched motto on the blade.
Your blade is in poor shape.
These are smoking hot on the collectors market and pull in $800 or more in nice condition.
