I was in a horrible marriage! Abusive both physical and emotional. She literally tortured me for years! She was a narcissistic monster! Even after we had three children together she’d beat me and abuse me whenever she felt threatened with me showing any kind of independence. Her family saw it and she show tears and they’d support her. They made me the monster and I so wasn’t. It took the police and our 6 year old daughter calling the police when she had sat on me until I was unconscious that they realized I was telling the truth. I was put into a shelter and found help. I got my children as well. Men being abused is a real thing 😢

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I've seen women be abusive to men and it's not right. Just because you're a man doesn't mean you shouldn't be believed. I'm glad you have your kids ( I think that's what your comment said). I hope you're safe now.

@@SoundsBogus yeah that does sound bogus. Females have the power of persuasion. I spent a year in a dangerous county jail fighting a case because a woman said I attacked her after she attacked me. They didn't give me a second to explain just back of the cop car i went followed by the most angry and biased interrogation I've ever seen. I can't even sue her because despite being released because of dropped charges, the protective order still stands

As a woman, im glad the cops take these men serious. It takes a lot for a man to admit he was beat on by a woman and used to be he still went to jail as the aggressor bc "hes bigger/stronger/ect." Men can be victims too of DV and SA. Love that they were listened to and the cops werent manipulated by the women in these cases.

    • @pinnacleproductions6275

The police are definitely getting better with that but the courts sadly are not. My ex wife used to hit me all of the time. The cops even showed up but I couldn’t get myself to tell the police that she was constantly hitting me, scratching me, throwing things at me, etc. but I just couldn’t do it especially when my daughter cried and said she didn’t want Mama to go to jail.
She was also a makeup artist for broadway plays, turns out one night she made a fake black eye and took pics, sent it to some girl who was in love with her who posted it all over social media.
She even crashed our car on purpose screaming she was going to kill us, we flipped 3 times. Even after all of that I didn’t want to divorce and thought we could work it out for my daughter.
Then one day I’m sitting in my living room and the cops show up and serve me a restraining order, made me leave my house.
I produced videos and pics of her attacking me and threatening to burn our house down but the judge still put the restraining order on me & kept it going for like a year.
After that I lost what little faith I had in the justice system. The judge was some angry woman who to me seemed like she just loves screwing men over.
If I could sue I would. But that was years ago now so I’m just happy it’s over with. I went through hell for a whole year because of it.
Her one redeeming quality was that she did tell the court that I’m a great father which is true but I also think it was just because she wanted her weekends free. Total narcissist.
I haven’t been able to get into any meaningful relationships since out of fear I’ll have to go through that hell again. I date women but don’t allow myself to get close. So I guess you could call that ptsd.
Even my lawyer was disgusted with the judge who didn’t even allow her to do her job. It was one of the worst experiences of my life.

@@pinnacleproductions6275 I've been divorced for ten years now. I had my own issues in marriage as well. I actually did try to date for the first few years until I realized that my life is so much easier single. And now that I've made that decision I feel freer and happier than I ever have. For me once I took the time to work on myself and learn to love myself then I found that not only did I no longer get lonely but I realized single was sooooo much easier with no drama. Being in a relationship no longer made sense to me. So I hope that you learn to love yourself and learn to NEVER settle. Figure out what YOU want and what YOU need and you won't ever allow yourself to be in that again. I think often these people prey on those who aren't so confident and sure of what they deserve. Good luck to you both!

She pushed me out of a window as I was trying to escape out of the house from her and I fell and broke my ankle three years after the relationship she found out I was having a baby had me charged with assault I had to sit there listening to her lie on the stand and even the judge taking sides with her saying that she was a brave woman. All of this made me sick to my stomach. In the end I received 18 months in jail, my child’s birth, and there was nothing that I could do about it. category isn't any more fair than it is to generalize white people, black people or blue people. There are both good people and bad people everywhere!
Besides, what alternative would you propose? Should we do away with leo's completely and allow the citizens to police themselves? What do we do when
people make their job so horrible by they way they are treated (even the good ones) that you can't pay anyone enough to be a leo? We're not far away,

She even knew she was at fault. Sometimes I feel like I’m watching a different video than you all. When my husband and I first started dating his ex would do shit like this. She had broken up with him months prior but when she found out when had a new girlfriend she got my address and tried to fight me at several different locations. She threatened to stab me. She threw bricks through the window of our car. She injured my 3 year old daughter one of these times. She called my employer said she was me and cussed my boss out and told her I quit my job. I lost my apartment because she kept stalking us at my apartment complex and causing damage. She finally was arrested for robbing and kidnapping an elderly woman. 4 years later when she was released from prison she was on my door step the next day. Jealousy is a hell of a drug. It's so sad to see when a person with a real illness is treated like a criminal when in fact she just needed someone to care enough to try and help her. This is a real issue for many men and women who have psychological problems that may be undiagnosed or not treated. I know it's a very difficult thing to deal with from the outside and it's just easier to write them off but imagine if it was someone who you loved that was found in a situation where they are not in control of their own minds. You would want someone to show them kindness and get them whatever help they needed instead of sent into a broken system that will only send them deeper into an abyss where they can't even recognize themselves. I know I would want someone to help me.

I applaud that male victims are being taken seriously by authorities now, and while none of this behaviour can ever be condoned or excused, it is worth considering how tame much of the violence in this video is, when compared to levels of common male against female DV. How far we have come in recognising that all DV is wrong, and it’s great to see a crack down on all perpetrators.

With a really toxic partner calling the cops is out of the question bc b4 they get there she'd lock herself in he bathroom & smack herself in the face with a curling iron or something. You are absolutely correct, it's not a gender thing. People shouldn't hit people, especially those you lay your head down next to at night. Peace

Absolutely. I must have grown up "different" cuz when a police officer was asking "those" questions, I would be as kind as possible, knowing at this point they are my enemy (they're gathering evidence against me, so not a friend). I learned quick to shut up, comply & later talk to my lawyer. Some of these hot heads have a, no joke, "I wish u would" attitude. I had a cop who during our interaction kept making his gun completely up for grabs. 1st, no, 2nd it was in a 3 step holster so even if, I wasn't gonna get it, 3rd NOO. these peoples have hard ass jobs no doubt. But a lot of them, to make life easier, put u in 3 catagories. Best to shut up, keep your wits & tell the PD, this guy needs a win as bad as you do. Peace

You must also have other things physically, emotionally, and morally. Also watch out for the drinking habits, to drink to ease emotional turmoil, or for fun is a super big red flag. If that's all you're seeing find a different circle of friends and potentials.

Ik she was acting really weird but she was clearly having a psychotic break or drugs or both.. I heard the boyfriend saying her dad took her to the mental hospital.
