And I guess that attitude passed down to my dad (RIP), because I remember going to his house one day and I had bought something I really liked, so I wanted to show it to him. So I said "Look at this!

Years ago, my mom used to have an international student from India living in her basement. She said that the reason why international students go to food banks is because the paperwork they received from the government said to go to food banks for free food.

The food bank in Nova Scotia only gives you the food EACH time when u bring the persons/ child/ husband medical card and show it EACH time.Also your 1st visit you must bring birth certificates. It's all entered in computer and checked each time so if it's a monthly pick up or weekly depd on the rules they make sure u only come as often as they allow.

I believe the carbon tax is a huge factor, but I also think the big grocery chains have taken advantage of that. After the carbon tax was initiated, prices went up to accommodate that, but they kept going up even though the tax hadn't.
If we put pressure on the big corps, they will pressure the government about the taxes. They hold much more power than we do like it or not
The tax multiples as to grow wheat you can start with the plowing of the fields. Then you plant the wheat and spray then harvest. The farmer takes it to the grain elevator where the heat is on and then the dryer is used to make it up to standards. The wheat is now transported to the miller and then the bakery. The bakery has to cook the bread and keep the bakery warm by central heating. Then the bread is sent to the store that is also heated and has lights on. Finally it’s bought by the consumer who drove to the store and has to drive home. Now it’s consumed by the family who needs to hope that the government will feed their children at school as they can’t afford to send them with a lunch. The tax was applied on the consumer twenty times at least in this example and the average family can’t afford the government greedy tax lords. This is worse than the Sheriff of Nottingham but Canada has no Robbin Hood.
I think people forget to remember that all of Canada's media have their head offices based out of Toronto.
So out here in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, we are going to get Eastern based media in our local news.
You can see the bias, especially during election time.

Some food prices have lowered in price but the package is half the size. I bought 20 pack sausage for 20 bucks 5 yrs ago. Now 28 and only 18 sausages. Well now its 26 and get 14 sausages that are smaller sausages and taste like shit. So yes the price went lower but so did the size and quality.

Price shuffling, size and quality down to the point we not just eating garbage but poison. Even worse is that we subsidize it with our money, and why corn syrup, soy and other ingredients are being used over healthier options.
I'm on a fixed income so I really notice grocery prices, even the generic value brand juice at Walmart has had a 100% price increase in the last year 70% of which was in the last month. Trudeau is on drugs.

Pierre #1 thing you need to do for our resources is get a pipeline from Alberta to the newfies on the east coast just make it go around Ontario and Quebec otherwise they'll take credit for it existing. Our fuel prices would drop by more than half and our gas prices have not been that low soly at the fault of the federal government.

This went on for years and he went through 7 clinics. Wtf? When he was dying from cancer, he was refused any pain meds at all. He was told he already had methadone, and to just take that. He was the biggest, toughest guy ive ever met in my life, by the end he just cried and wanted the pain to end....
They literally broke him. I miss him so much. So does our daughter. This is a personal issue for me. People need fn help! Not more drugs. This is bananas. Absolutely WHACKO

A big part of why my daughter and son-in-law left Canada with their children is because of our education system. They want their children to actually learn something. Here in Canada it is all about nonsensical woke stupidity. Here there is a mandate to exclude parents and be sneaky liars. There, the teachers are so proud of their work and the work of their students, that they post to an online group. As a grandparent, I can see my grandchildren learning in action even though they are in a far away country. Their education system also doesn't believe that children should sit still at a desk all day. There is a huge emphasis on hands on learning.
One of my son's teachers told the class before a student led conference that he didn't want to meet any parents! WTF!!

I'll speak to why BC cannot find nurses, the entire BC healthcare system leadership (not nurses and doctots) but management. Many people leave because there is a huge bullying culture in BC. Everyone is so angry because there is only one bed ever in any of the hospitals. The cost of housing is too high to have nurses working in that city. Everyone is moving to the states and I have never seen many nurses I know so happy. They are actually treated with respect. The BCCNM is also corrupt, they are 100% not something we should trust. I know so much behind the scenes, BC healthcare is terrifying, if you have heart issues, omg I'd move.
It's beyond farcical. After 6 years I still had no doctor. Long waits for a simple blood test and forget about specialists. I had to travel to a different town for just a drivers medical. We left and will never be back to BC.

He said no tax exceptions which is shady bc that was not the deal 40 years ago. They are mostly all leaving and he said we will bring foreign ones here. We could take such better of care homeless, vets, addicts, and people would have more kids but you gotta close the open boarder, we must leave the united nations and WHO, no global communist government.
