@@SenatorPartySocks aw totally with you dude-my mom passed four years ago, and bob's flashback moment describing the real origin of louise's ears had me tearing up ❤
I think this movie was fantastic. I’m a big fan of Bobs Burgers, this movie didn’t do the simpsons thing of going bigger and crazier and more extreme, they kept it very bobs burgers but with a longer story. You get more insight into the characters, each character shines a bit more, but they are all very much themselves and it kept its heart. The stuff about bobs mom, or Louise, the dynamic between bob and Linda. All wonderful. One of my favorite movies of the year.
Yes! I didn't think they would show her face, but I'm so glad they did! And it's such a great connection for Louise, who's the closest to Bob. So good.
Fantastic movie. It's an extended episode of the show but on the big screen! I appreciate they didn't try to go all grand like a lot of sitcom turned movies do. There is a little more involved than a standard BB ep but it isn't out the realm of a standard BB ep, if that makes sense. The trailer also did a good job of not spoiling the ploy, other than saying Bob needs money (when doesn't he, lol)
Yes. This feels in-line with many of the season finales… the ones that go a bit crazy, but still always feels fairly grounded. And all in all they kept the family and it’s heart at the focus 💕.
I have to disagree. When you want people to pay 10 bucks to see it, it should be more than just a double episode. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but I was disappointed and felt like the whole thing was lazy and derivative of the episodes, doing things they've already done on the show. I expect more from a movie on the big screen . Even the songs didnt come up to the standard of the show! They were largely forgettable,
I love how they brought back so many things from other episodes. I went with my family and it was a little sad that I knew every single thing in the movie that was from past episode lol.
One cool detail is that the film is the first time Bob's been back to Wonder Wharf since Felix tried to murder him there. Seeing as how it led to another attempt on his life I doubt he'll ever be going back.
I’m happy to say that I noticed the deteriorating sidewalk and wondered what they were going to be getting at and then I saw the movie trailer and screamed
It may be a 2-hour-long episode, but it's an amazing episode with great music and top-tier animation. I've already seen it twice and bought the soundtrack. I regret buying the soundtrack though. Only a couple songs actually have lyrics and the rest are purely instrumental. If you like that kind of music, you'll enjoy it, but for me, it was a waste of $10 and change.
Actually, Felix tried to kill Calvin so he could get his money and run away with Fanny. Fanny was an accomplice, but Felix was the intended murderer in the show
And actually Felix came back to save his brother, AND tries to stop Fanny from killing Calvin & Bob. Felix would have been too chicken to shoot anyone, especially Calvin. If anyone was the intended murderer* it was absolutely Fanny. And she would have gotten away with it, had it not been for Bob’s knowledge of the poorly maintained warf, and fannys love for her music.
Spoilers: so Jimmy Jr is Tina’s summer boyfriend. Meaning whenever the series returns on Fox, everything would return to normal. Personally, I hope Zeke gets more time
I was wondering if the movie would affect season 13 and beyond it makes me wonder if Tina‘s going to still be in the same school as Jean and Louise because she just finished her eighth grade year and I think that school only goes up to eighth grade soooooo is Tina going to be entering high school?!
I don’t think it’ll affect anything tbh. They’ve had summer break before in the show and they still stayed in the same school and didn’t move up in grade after it. The show is on a floating timeline so it doesn’t really matter that time seems to pass, for example having multiple holiday episodes
I was thinking the same thing! I'd honestly be disappointed if they DON'T show Tina going on to high school in the new season. I mean... she's fourteen now, and since Gene and Louise would move on to 7th and 5th grade, at least one of them should have a birthday episode.
despites holidays and birthdays the show and its characters will always stay the same, the creator has said so, so we'll never see them move grades or get older
I have seen the movie 4 times now and I went on the first day, first showing. I absolutely adore it and this show. Only disappointment was that it had to end
I liked the movie a lot. I’m a big fan of the show and I was concerned that the movie would be bad, but it really was good! I laughed my ass off when they were in the shell car chase and Tina made awkward eye contact 😂
Took my 6 year old and 4 year old girls with me to see it. We all love the the show. Was shocked to see it was all adults in the theater. Lol. My 2 girls and like 35 adults around my age (32) everyone seemed to love it.
Not rewarding to longtime fans. Flat. Missing most of the characters that make the TV show so great. Made Louise into a 9 year old girl when she's really a 40 year old mobster trapped in a 9 year old girls body.
They absolutely nailed the purpose of pleasing long time fans and also creating a movie that people can watch you have never seen it because that's exactly how I explain the movie
Thx for this vid but I'll wait for it to appear on Sky Cinema as although it was well publicised that the movie will contain alot of 'easter eggs' I don't think most people are going to pay to look for these easter eggs, they just want to enjoy the movie
Saw this movie in the theaters with my friend. Bob's burger's is the second fox animated series that got a theatrical movie the other is the Simpsons which is getting another movie. I wonder if family guy will ever get a movie.
Seth McFarland has gone on record saying that he will do a Family Guy movie (not the one broken into 4 episodes previously released), but when they do make the movie it will be a series finale type deal because with the limits all ready pushed with the show, topping them (which he feels a movie must do) will be too far to just go back to what the show is.
Remember When fishoder mentioned stopping at Myrtle Beach in the sub? That’s a real place. It’s in South Carolina. Just wanted to mention that because I know some ppl wonder where they live.
Why put Tina's kiss at the end of the video and say it was years in the making. If you sir were an actual fan of the show you would know Tina has kissed Jimmy J. on multiple occasions. I mean come on the Sky Kiss!!!
No Gail and no Mort though which was disappointing :( they should have done more fan service and less commercial. Focussing the movie on Fishoder's cousin made it the plot go too off course. Was really disappointed that Mickey wasn't voiced by Bill Hader as well :( surely they could have gotten him to do it as the film was in the works for so long
I think they used Grover because no one who watches the series would feel like they lost anyone of importance. And, despite the "it's always the last one you'd expect" trope, Grover being the unlikely suspect worked because we don't know anything about him, not enough to analyze him or suspect him. Like in the show, he's just shy of being a background character. But, imo, his motivations made sense, especially for that family.
