Teen Suicide was probably one of the best bands of this decade so many emotions and such a unique style they really were pioneers in LO-FI and garage indie

I always wonder if the tone is supposed to be positive or negative. I think it's positive because even though all these bad things are happening, he still thinks that it's okay. The alternative is that "everything is fine" is just there to be ironic, because how could everything be fine under these conditions?

By the singer saying, "everything is fine", he doesn't mean that everything is fine; he's just using it as sarcasm for people that constantly worry about him. The phrase is an understatement; of course, judging by his circumstances, nothing is okay, but he's being sarcastic in saying everything is to act like it doesn't affect him as this is just apart of his everyday life.
i think the song is about mental health and drug addiction and I think "everything is fine" means that he doesn´t care that his life is falling apart because he has no self respect.
