Seeing this climb in person, it doesn’t seem real. Grandpa Peabody is ENORMOUS. The scale is hard to put to words. The angle that The Process is on is probably 50-55 degrees, about 20+ feet, and the holds don’t even register to the average climber. Oh, then you have 30 MORE FEET OF V10 SLAB. It’s absolutely preposterous. Love coming back to this video now that I have real world context. Daniel is INSANE!!!!
There is a nice documentary about high ball bouldering on Red Bull TV called "high & mighty". Part two is about the story behind this boulder and Daniel Woods "process"
Guys my bf is super into climbing and I'm looking for a shirt that someone made inspired by this climb for his bday. Does anyone know where I could find it?
Dieghen what is the reward of sending a V16, as a professional climber, which only a handful of people have done? If you need us to answer that, you probably shouldn’t be here. Lol

I loved it in the end when Daniel topped the boulder and everyone got super excited, the dog was also like fuck yeah man
That was pretty intense to watch. I could only imagine the mental armor needed for this. Good send Daniel!!
That first "rest" is insane... I would love to see a close-up of whatever he's holding on to there
Jesse Helland I’ve seen the problem before (didn’t even think about trying it) it looked really small but you could tell it was a little positive
“hold onto that”
"gee thanks bud never thought about that" -daniels thoughts probably
Clearly, the use of "Mellow" is in this case intended ironically.
("woof woof!")
Love the way no one makes a sound while he is climbing the slab 😂😂
thorna100 the way it should be
Must be them jwebb send-sensin’ dogs
Jesus that was intense
Those crag dogs joining in on the excitement made the video so much better lmao
Lmao @ “Need a seizure to fall off after this..” 😂😂
From an old climber, just extraordinary
I just love how the dogs were barking at the end
Absolutely Legendary!
My god those high flyin foot switches had me sweatin hard
Jesus what an intense climb !! The exposure at the end made me sweat so much !
One of the most inspiring bouldering sends, loved watching the film which documents this ascent it really got me psyched to boulder more.
What was the doc?
@@kenny2036 Reel Rock 10 High and Mighty
Might as well call this one a free solo lol
Crux is low enough where a fall with a lot of pads and some spotters would be safe
@@obscurechoss7425 depend on youre definition of safe.
@@obscurechoss7425 lol. sure. E11, maybe.

Yo, a 6 minute boulder? IFSC Sport routes limited to 6 minutes.. lol.
Fucking amazing effort though, incredibly inspiring.
The holds on this thing are freaky bad.
Fair plau my fingers were sweating half way through that!
Definition of a hard climb.....and an exceptionally hard crush
Say what, that looks insane man! 🙉
V16 highball?! Wooow! Sick FA! That topout damn
Sickest project, ever
Guys my bf is super into climbing and I'm looking for a shirt that someone made inspired by this climb for his bday. Does anyone know where I could find it?
My hands are so sweaty i broke my keyboard.
phew! i wonder how long till one of the holds finally breaks and it's a V17
this was a while ago, one of the holds broke while dan beal was projecting it and nobody has repeated it since
It did happen, it's like impossible now.

"Hold onto to that"
V16 E11...
No one sees a need to spot?
blorp
First🤘, fucking epic!!!
Jesus christ, looks like it should be a lead route lol......
Jesus, this is terrifyingly tall for a V2, let alone a V16!!!! I have no idea how he could send that with his ENORMOUS balls weighing him down....
nsgg bouldr
People talk too much when people are climbing! Someone screaming "you got this dude!" is never helpful...
Depends on the person. Some find the encouragement helpful.
I love it when my buddies are getting psyched when I'm sticking moves on a tough route
First
Too dangerous, I appreciate the performance but I don't like this kind of useless risks
If the risk didn't match the reward, Daniel wouldn't have taken it
@@pit3750 And what is the reward?
@@dieghen957 joy, happiness
there is no greater reward
