Man, this is too good of a channel...such a variety of vids!
I'm studying to be an accountant but I still love watching your videos in my free time. What a great story about the football player! Definitely seems like you have an interesting life.
Looking forward to seeing where you match!
Hey what's up Dr. Webb! Hope all is great! thank you for taking us on your interview journey! I always love it when you take us on the road with you! You gave so much great information in this video. I'm not a physician or med student but all of the info you shared can be applied to anything related to interviewing and just dealing with people in general! I loved that tie you was rockin at the Sacramento interview. That blue paisley was lit. Anyway, as an engineer, I think it's always important to be on point with your interviewing skills and you have nailed pretty much all aspects of the "Great" Interview. That interview trail seemed grueling though! 😄Anyways, again I always enjoy your content and I'll see you in the next one! Be well, be safe and Peace & Blessings🙏🏽
I want to be an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, so seeing this title made me so happy! Thanks for all your knowledge and encouragement!
Im glad I discovered your channel, I found myself drifting away from my goal of becoming a doctor due to depression and anxiety, your videos helped me rediscover my passion for medical study, looking forward to applying to school this winter!
I’m currently a junior in high school and I want to be an orthopedic surgeon and I just wanted to say your videos really inspire me, you have a great channel going!
Awesome blog... I'm sure you will land them all! Really admire the fact that you take time to mentor despite such a busy, exciting life... Great job! Hope I get to run into you one day as an anesthetist! Lol You inspire me to keep working hard!
you go doc !!! you are my inspiration ❤❤❤
Im very happy for you Doc Webb!!!! Good job!

Great video. I hope that you'll get your top choice.
More power to you bro; I enjoy watching and learning through your experiences.
Thanks man. Please let me know of any other videos you would like to see or any other suggestions to improve the channel! Thanks for watching!
Dr. Webb
Thank you doc for the video. I'm a doctor in Kenya, i enjoy your videos, the different perspectives. Awesome advice. wish you could incorporate more medical content in your videos
Looking good!
Thank you for sharing your life experience with us.Wonderful Journey
Great experience with the interviews.
Hey Doctor Webb, may i suggest you to make a video of how to become a clinical psychologist (a person with a doctorate degree in psychology is most preferable). Even though clinical psychologists are not medical practitioner but I think that they are part of the health practitioner community. If you can that will be great. Cheers
This is awesome doc
this was a very fun video . I am going to watch this video again. Dr. Webb you should be very tired.
Dude you are my motivation!!!! taking USMLE Step1 in 3 months. Hoping to be like you one day!!!
Emmanuel Tito Good luck
I hope you end up settling in Houston! That way maybe I can shadow! Good luck on your future endeavors!
You are a true inspiration...keep it up..
Thank you!
Love your videos!!
Thank you! I appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
As a Seattleite, Harborview and University of Washington Medical Center are 2 excellent places to practice.
Yes, both good programs!
Cool video!
What's a good way to answer "tell me about yourself"?
whats the music at interview #8? such a nice vibe!
Where did you get that amazing overcoat you were wearing at the Amazon store?!
As a orthopedic surgeons do you get to work with nurses or just PA’s
Hi,
I am inspired by your videos, and I diligently follow them. I currently am Neurosurgery resident in Russia. I would like to know how I can work as a Neurosurgeon in the USA.
This is my dream , starting from the bottom sucks it feels like it’s taking forever
Do hospitals pay for malpractice insurance for their doctors?
i see that wood grain in the caddy 8:10
Dr. Webb what would be the line of distinction between Neurosurgery and Spinal surgery ? I know you talked about them asking you about the process you would take for the patients they were rounding on. The surgery you described was something I know neurosurgeons would normally complete. Also, how did I miss this video before ?🥴
Ayyy I'm studying medicine in Detroit!
Good stuff! Thanks for watching!
How was you taking your car everywhere? Were you shipping it?
Hey Dr. Webb amazing video, great interview tips too. How long did this whole series of interviews take? It seems like you would have to be traveling for several weeks non stop. Is this done after you complete your residency or in your final year of it.
Interviews span over the course of a few months and for orthopedic residencies, you apply and interview for fellowships during the end of your 4th year. Other residency programs may be different
Antonio J. Webb, M.D. thanks for the Info!
So were all of those expenses out of pocket?? It seems like a lot especially with all of the traveling
You can't take that perspective when considering your future career for potentially 30 years man.
A couple grand to interview fellowships is nothing when looking at the amount of hard work and time you dedicate to get to that point.
@@pipeline3609 exactly...what are 5 years, compared to the next 30?
Jesus how tall are you?
Me too
harborzoo! thats seattle
Dr. Webb, what's the difference between an orthopedic spine surgeon and a spine surgeon who did a neurosurgery residency? Thanks for all of the amazing videos!
Jon Lock one did orthopedic residency and the other did neurosurgery residency. Different specialities
I also think Ortho Spine is 5yrs of residency, and 1yr of a spine fellowship. On the other hand, I believe neuro does just a 7yr residency. I was told that ortho focuses more on the bone aspect of it (sorry, that’s broad), and neuro focuses more on the spinal pathway/nerves. I shadowed a neurosurgeon and he told me that 85% of their work is spine related and the other 15% is brain related. Again, this is from my experience from shadowing. I could be wrong, but hope this helps!
Correct!
Hi, check out this video here: ruclips.net/video/HodgejJxjUI/видео.html
It may answer your question where I explain the difference
Antonio J. Webb, M.D. What is your advice for spine interviews for spine in general
Im a current navy Corpsman. What age did you start your journey. I have plans to attend med school. But i will be in my late thirties when i finish.
Gregory Donaldson i know you asked this a while ago but you shouldn’t worry about when you’re going to finish school because you’re going to get to your late thirties regardless might as well be a doctor once you hit that age
dr.webb how much research is required for any fellowships in general, like how many projects or papers..?
There is no certain amount that is required. As long as you have "some" research and obviously the more the better
Thanks ,i am a second year caribbean med student i did 2 review articles and i am thinking of doing may be 2 more is that of good enough for getting into INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY..despite of getting good step scores.?
It will not take the place of a good step score. Step one is MOST important. Research can supplement that
what to answer in tell me about yourself
I love Dr. Webb! his content is endless :D love that guy who sang that song in the end
Why do you have a nose camera?
we getting money in 2018
Why did you apply to so many? Just curious
Its competitive. For orthopedic surgery, I applied to 81 programs which was the average when I was applying
Antonio J. Webb, M.D. damn brother, a lot of respect to you I thought that it would be easy for you to get into any fellowship because you're so qualified I didn't know things were that competitive
Orthopedic surgery is the most competitive medical field in the United states
Why is he going on so many interviews? This looks very costly. Not in the medical field.
Where did you get all this money to travel?? Do they pay for this?? Lol
No, you pay for it yourself
