lol, is was so cute Örs XD I saw a video, where adults were reacting to your song as well, and they said you look angry. And I just: hmmm, you can tell that much but you don't even know the why, 'cause you don't speak Hungarian
silly you, it's now about HOW to lose somebody. if we have to find a song along the lines of that, there's "How to Be a Heartbreaker" ;) ;) (sorry I had to)
I didn't quite get what that burst into laughing was about. Was Soma or Áron mistakenly identified as the lead singer or what? Gosh, my English isn't a tiny bit better than Örs's. :)
Yeah, I think so. Anyway, they are incredibly lovely, I think. (And to think that I haven't heard about them before February 25., one day after they'd won A Dal...)
I love the first impressions that people have towards the acts they've never heard of. I noticed the Albanian entrant's name early in a list where all the names of their NF participants were revealed and I was like "why would Bush's pepper sing about a mall :s"... without me remembering saying so, on the day of me first hearing the song, I really liked it! :) then there was something else in our selection and I only heard the songs from our selection for the first time during the selection itself (whereas I heard most other NF entries already on the Internet) and at first I thought that my fave entry of our ESC 2018 selection was just "cool" and didn't really get why they were doing well in the televote until the next show the act appeared in and I joined the bandwagon for supporting that act on the internet (talking about my fellow countrymen here). I really loved that song and I wanted it to win but I knew someone else was going to and so that someone else did and it was Ieva :L I hope the same won't happen in Eurovision because the AWS star is too precious to fade right away after the contest, tbh... And speaking of which, I only remember remembering there was a keychange during my first listen of "Viszlát nyár" right before A Dal 2018 heat 2. I just sat back, relaxed, put AWS as my heat 2 winners and waited for another week to hear the initial fanfave "Meggyfa" out for the first time. Then I noticed that there was a buzz building up around AWS because of their great heat 2 performance... but I only saved the performances for later and saw them days before the final just to let myself know just how good AWS were live. (Honestly I was more of a Leander Kills fan, maybe it's because I'm a big sucker for songs in G sharp minor? :p and this + rock + one of my favourite chord progressions in the chorus = fantastic song in my eyes! And then my buzz towards their entry was a bit down because of their "new show, new entry version" strategy. Um, if it ain't broke, AND it got you through, DON'T FIX IT! (tho I liked the version in the semifinal with violins and haven't heard the one they used in the final tho) And during the jury voting I was as much pro-AWS as the few others on a Eurovision fan forum that were watching the NF too at the time... and I felt only 2 sets of 4s towards AWS was a bit harsh of a judgement considering all the praise prior... but then thank God for the televote-only Round 2
I didn’t follow A Dal (btw it should be written A dal, but never mind), and I hadn’t followed it during the years before this year either. I am, first and foremost, a classical music lover (by which I mean at least 1000 years of western/European music); secondly a fan of Hungarian and some other folk music, and thirdly a fan of jazz. So I didn’t care much about contests like A dal or X Factor and the like. I was aware that Pápai Joci won the contest last year; I hated that song (Origo) at the time but, strangely, now I love it… I really love it, it’s a great song. So on February 25. this year I saw on the internet that some song titled Viszlát nyár won A dal and therefore it will represent us (metalhead Hungarians, haha) at ESC in Lisbon (Lisszabon in Hungarian, haha). Out of pure curiosity I listened to it, and I hated it immediately as one of those „screamo without any musical quality” songs. I can’t remember any longer what made me to listen to it again and again, but I know that it grew on me very quickly, and - as you could guess by now - I love it from the deepest dephts of my heart and soul. So, I see that you’ve been much more into A dal than I was - and I guess you’ve been into other National selections, but I’m not sure, but never mind. Anyway, one thing that I have to tell you, that I think that Leander’s song „Nem szól értem harang” is a fucking good rock/metal/whatever song, I love it, though it hasn’t had that enormous inpact on me that Viszlát nyár did. But I have to confess - and by that I may be a target of hatred - that Horváth Tamás’ song „Meggyfa” is an absolutely gorgeous one, my favorite among all the ESC entrants right after AWS’s Viszlát nyár; I wish we could send two songs to ESC, but sadly we couldn’t. It’s incredibly catchy, full of ideas with gorgeous singing, magnificent orchestration, and it’s an absolutely sensual love song, especially the phrase „Oly gyönyörű vagy” („You are so beautiful”) - I just loveit, love it. Oh, and btw your song, „When We're Old” began to slowly grow on me. It’s really beautiful, beautiful, innocent and moving, and I wish I could pronounce the name of the singer lady properly… Oh, unrealized wishes, I guess. Thanks for reading this, I’m a bit drunk right now, but who cares. Go AWS! :)
Really powerful interview now, Rest Easy Örs

Is the interviewer Dennis van Eersel?

+Nonman must be trollingly leading the journalist into believing someone else is the lead singer. idfk either xD
no no your English is great! :)
