Just finished 1-7. Consumed them within a week. Going back to write notes now; this basically boils down to Saylor says ‘the principles of money and markets boil down to what we understand about nature. History helps to analogise it. Understand a handful of scientific concepts and lessons from history with comparisons to money and you will make sense of Bitcoin and how you can have it work for you.’ Stunningly good content. Thank you Robert for bringing it to us then summarising it each episode. I will ask - can you please speak to Bitcoin contrarians so we can chew on the logic against Bitcoin? Or can someone direct me to such content? The sceptic in me feels that, while this is great, it is 10+ hours of selling Bitcoin (but not shilling in a baseless way)

I may have watched all of Michael Saylor’s bitcoin videos that I’ve gone to his old keynote addresses from many years ago talking about the newly-released iPhone 5S. This guy is faster, smarter, stronger than many.
So I'm a real estate guy. And I own a million dollars of properties that cash flow 10%. Real estate is the way to go. But the way this guy explains cryptocurrency really helps you see the value of it as an asset... I own some crypto right now, but I think I need more
"...so,...what if we're actually doing economics with dirty money, we've been using monetary energy, which is bleeding, in the same way as operating with non sterile instruments, and the patient keeps dying and we don't know why. The significance of bitcoin is we're going from defective money, which is somewhere between toxic, it may just be bleeding like ineffective, bleeding 2-3-4% a year; or is toxic when it gets to minus 10% or minus 15% real yield..." Fucking BRILLIANT analogy!! It is like that, you get into a SYSTEM of medicine, or money, and unless you know better you just keep following it to its end, if the patient, or economy keeps dying, you revive it or hope it can survive your "surgeries", or interventions, until the next time and eventually you destroy it by so much interventions if you treat the condition or illness with the same system, once you know you should clean your instruments, bingo!! You got that one piece of knowledge to increase your probability of survival by a huge factor. In this case it is bitcoin's FIXED monetary system.
Concerning Marcus Aurelius appointing his son, I found this framing of the decision very interesting. As I recall, I don't think any of the other emperors from Nerva until Marcus had a biological son. It was sort of happenstance that led to this chain of good emperors determined by competency. Now I am left wondering how much of that was conscious decision to not have an heir, which was the practice in Rome for 100 years since Augustus, and what led to Marcus having a son. Once the son exists, it is easy to see why Marcus appointed him as co-emperor, as Marcus was a softy at heart, only becoming emperor out of his sense of duty when he would've much rather stayed home and enjoyed his library. He knew his son was incompetent, partly because he wasn't around to raise him due to the Marcomannic wars, so he made him co-emperor to try to prepare him, but it was probably too late by then. However, the alternative was that his son would likely be killed if someone else become emperor, as you'd expect, and as far as I'm aware there was no one who could've filled his shoes anyway. Anyway, those are my thoughts. I am by no means a historian, but I love history, especially Mediterranean history. I recommend checking out season 1 of Roman Empire on Netflix (it is a documentary-dramatization hybrid) for a sympathetic look at Commodus. They really tried to humanize him and make sense of his descent into madness and I found it very believable compared to all the other depictions I've run into.

Each episode just keeps getting better. Amazing. Why doesn't this have 100M views? A billion? This type of thinking is world changing.
Most people are NOT willing to implement these wisdoms.
They would have to get fit/adapt.
Because the viewcount is being deliberately suppressed. Think about that.
I had to pause the video in a stupor of awe when he said “Everything in nature is at its finest when tomorrow is uncertain”
