Former AA CEO: “Everyone Is Worried About Boeing”
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 апр 2024
- In an interview with Bloomberg, former American Airlines CEO Robert Crandall stated that everyone is worried about Boeing, referencing recent troubles with the manufacturer and a massive leadership shakeup. The state of the planemaker now is far different from Crandall’s own experience in dealing with Boeing while he was at the helm of American Airlines in the 80s and 90s.

Looks like everyone is worried about Boeing.... except Boeing
So true 🤣
And me, I would fly Boeing any time!
@@dc10fomin65 your IQ hovers around room temperature. Must be. I won't play Russian roulette boeing style...
@@dc10fomin65Room temperature IQ... go right ahead.
exactly!
Even airbus is worried
I’m worried about CEOs and bean counters all learning the same greed in school that ruins every business they touch.
You are exactly point on.
Those Boeing CEO, Cxx must be held accountable
They massacred the company. These number crunchers need to go and replace with more engineers in top leadership positions
I am very unhappy with them especially when that whistle-blower passed away
Passed away? Really? You believe that?
You mean when they killed him?
I'm very unhappy with airbus dishonesty!!!!!
@@nickolliver3021
Explain please
@@per995 go figure
It's now "If it's Boeing, I'm not going"... 😞
Makes me want to fly on the older BOEING aircraft rather than the newer models.
true 25 year old 757, 737, 767, 777 are safe but the 737 Max, 787 are flying coffins.
CEOs of airlines say they are worried about safety and reliability. In my view, that's not enough, there is also the public perception of Boeing. If people are switching to airlines that only use Airbus. That's a Boeing issue too, and only one that Boeing can fix.
Engineering companies must managed by engineers
Boeing became great at financial engineering at the expense of aircraft engineering.
And any airline that only uses Boeing aircraft should surely be worried aswell whilst there are concerns about Boeing.
I refuse to fly Ryanair because they only fly the 737
Same with Southwest, I won't fly them.
I refuse to fly Ryanair full stop.
I mean he’s not wrong
Im concerned about why the focus changed. It used to be quality and exceptional reliability and above all safety. THose 3 things very very important. Quality at the moment suspect, reliability questionble, and safety same once again. I hope they get them right again. At the moment though things just ARENT good enough.
they did american capitalism. Look at the railroads, look at pharma, look at cars, it's all the same thing.
Oh boy another Boeing CEO bites the dust 🤦🏾♂️
Or bites the caviar with their multimillion dollar golden parachute
@@outermarker5801Parachute? More like their private helicopter.
How they’ve fallen
All empires rise and fall, and sometimes rise again (and fall).
FAA, put inspectors in the plants, like USDA does with beef.
Worried about Boeing, I am more worried about safety.
Airbus only flights booked in the future
Ok to be worried, but is there anybody among those who count in Boeing, who is able to take any action to solve the problems ? (Answer suggested: No ! )
Time and CEO go by but new and old problems are still there so passengers, pilots and crew members are those who should really be worried
Even if they find the right one to solve their problems , it will take decades to get them all done😢😢😢
I am heartbroken, not to mention very worried about the many issues at Boeing. I flew aboard their aircraft weekly from the late 70s through the 80s and never felt any feelings other than pride and confidence in Boeing. No more.
Not worried…. I simply won’t fly any of those Boeing flying coffins anymore. Unless the airplane is over 10 years old.
The next CEO is another bean counter
Yes very worried
yes
After the current fiasco I will not fly on any Max or Dreamliner ever again!!!!
I have no worries with Boeing. Its the products they make I refuse to use. Trust is more important than loyalty.
then you should tell the FAA to not let their products near the public until they are fully trustable
Airbus is more like Cunard, focusing on safety.
your on replays to !
Mr Crandell worked with the Boeing that was still run by engineers, the good Boeing. That could be why he had praise for the company when he was at the helm of American.
He left American the year after MD started its takeover. And that's where things started to spiral for Boeing.
Yes, I'm worried about Boeing because it's facing issues with aircrafts over the years. That's why Airbus is superior to Boeing.
Not just Airbus-- China is waiting in the wings, just needs certification.
until they make mistakes too
More heads should roll....
2014: “If it ain’t Boeing, I ain’t going”
2024: “You’re Boeing to die”
Unfortunately the MBA playbook is not applicable to all industries.
Would worrying lead to the best outcomes? Instead pf wasting time “worrying”, how about all stakeholders working together to improve? Between being happy doing what I do and worrying, I choose the former.
Specifically, what will you do?
I'm worried but boeing is and might lose customers
they wont. they cant afford to
@@nickolliver3021 they will when they hit the point of no return. Murdering hundreds of people on 2 Max 8 crashed years ago and now parts are falling off their planes. I doubt anything will change in the future and that's when they lose their reputation if it hasn't already happened now.
Everyone is just worried about flying on their aircraft.
That's all. No pride in their jobs at Boeing it seems
yet they still make it out alive
If it's Boeing, I ain't going.
Airlines praying for the demise of Spirit so those aircraft can be added to their fleets.
I worry about the shareprice and the dividend 🤣
If decisions are made due solely due to cost and programme at the expense of sound engineering and safety, then these issues will occur. Sadly the people with spreadsheets always think they are more important than those who actually do the doing, in this case turning drawings and parts into safe, reliable planes.
Just stop forcing updates on the ancient 737
I insure roof tiles and I am worried about Boeing.
Just one word--Mulally, if he is not too old.
Not flying Boeing anymore. If it is Boeing, I'm not going
Boeing need to step up
All troublesome Boeing models need to be stripped down to every nut & bolt, and redone by retrained workers. The same goes for software & hardware. Then top management must fly on first three test flights before going back to service. Consumers are not expendable management is.
Boeing needs Engineers at the top.
Their"management shakeup" just brought in new Finance Managers.
Airbus is about Quality Engineering, R&D, and Safety.
Boeing is about cost cutting and shareholder returns.
Airlines now know this.
✈️
Well I’m not :)
Safety and reliability took backseats to profit margins and corporate bonuses and compensation years ago. Good luck hitting the reset button in the aviation industry or elsewhere.
Boeing gives executives bonuses for meeting diversity quotas. How about bonuses for quality?
If it's Boeing I'm not going! I trust Airbus.
Duly noted. Airbus only going fwd.
BOEING, ... BOEING, ... G O N E !!!
Your experience was went Boeing wasnt brought out by their rival
Check your fleets thoroughly before flying because, jealous invaders might be playing around.
Phone Zombies
Everyone? DAL doesn’t really care about BOE.
Huh? Half their fleet consists of Boeing aircraft. Of course they care
You and DJ's aviation has the same amount of subs
Good observation
I thought the former CEO was actually going to talk in this video.. getting real tired of these AI narrators
The pride of USA 😁🤣🇺🇲
American capitalism at its finest
Russian citizens. are safe , that country not allowed to buy them,.....some sanctions should be world wide
Boeing is done. No recovery possible.
DEI policies aren't helping Boeing. Rather, they're accelerating their decline.
This has nothing to do with DEI. Only with greed.
