- In our MSC Seascape food review we show all the meals we've eaten in the complimentary main dining room. We've been on the inaugural cruise for 17 days and have eaten some of these twice now!
We will give our review of the food at breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a few insights on the specialty restaurants on the MSC Seascape.
The Gala Dinner Surf & Turf is not to be missed.

This was the ships maiden voyage but not its inaugural voyage from the states. So once that happens, there will be more.

Are you going to be doing a video on the drinks served on board? I would really appreciate seeing the menus of specific drinks included in their drinks packages as that has been very difficult to find online

This was really a most wonderful video demonstrating an entire selection of dishes with expertise camera maneuvering, most probably among the very best I have viewed. You also shared some of the negative aspects of your eating experience, which was extremely pragmatic and informative in helping the traveler decide whether it is all worth the cruise trip.

This ship looks beautiful - some really nice, familiar touches to my cruises on Virtuosa until now - really modern and clean looking!
WOW! I had my very first experienced on MSc cruise line in June 2023 from Genoa Italy, and it was very busy:). I was able to get their loyalty matched to their Diamond level using my Hilton Diamond status during my second request. My first request using my Carnival Diamond status was matched to their MSc Gold. However, I tried again with my Hilton Diamond and got it. There was complimentary specialty dining but drink not included. Their Diamond level status expires after three years of not being active unlike Carnival. Thanks for sharing!
I was on the MCS maiden voyage and boarded the ship in Barcelona and ended in New York. The buffet food was mostly warm to cold most days. I spoke to Joclyn (buffet manager) and she said she would try to adjust the hot tray temperature but issue was never corrected. Fillet mignon at gala dinner was medium on one order and well done on another.
My adult children and I are booked on the Meravilgia in September so I'm devouring all the MSC video's I can find. I really enjoyed your room tour for the Meravilgia. I originally wanted an aft cabin but I saw a picture of the balcony for the cabin I wanted and it was miniscule. So I decided not to get that cabin but I did book 13213 and I actually found a video for that cabin so I'm very happy with my choice. My adult daughter will be in one of the single occupancy inside cabins which she is happy with. I'm going to continue watching your videos for all the MSC ships. keep up the great work.

Love you guys! We are cruising MSC Magnifica as a graduation gift. First family cruise. Can't wait. Food looks yummy! We are super easy with food though. Kids can eat pizza and burgers everyday😂 and im happy as long as i dont have to cook/wash dishes😅

Loving all of your videos. Very informative. Can you explain that 2 hours window that MSC gives to dine? We have the late dining coming up for our curise March 2023 and I'm confused when they said 7:30-9:30pm. You can show up any time during those hours, or thats how long the dinner is?

I have been watching your channel for awhile now and love you two! I did YT videos for a few years on RVing and I know how much work they are, so kudos to you both! Are you planning on going on MSC in Yacht Club? I would like to try it sometime and it would be even better if you all were on the cruise to meet up. I have horrible food allergies and thought the Yacht Club would be easier. We’ve cruised on all the major lines a bunch and are trying a cruise on Oceania next year on our anniversary, so that should be fun. Congrats to you my new YT friends I love your channels for land or cruising! May God Bless you in your adventures!

We can all agree that taste is personal and also dependent on what region and country you come from. I have had good and not so good food on MSC cruises, even in Yacht club which has its own restaurant and menu. On the 5 Yacht club cruises i have been on, the last ( Seaview ) was not good at all. I also have had great meals in the restaurant when not in Yacht club. Was it the taste or was it the expectations you have on the food? Probably a combination. Meals are prepared for thousands of guests and it may not be as you are accustomed to. My mothers spaghetti bolognese is probably not the one the chef prepares and serves. I have heard complaints that the food on MSC is not as on American cruise lines, such as Royal and Carnival, but Mediterranean. There comes the preferences you grew up with. I don't like garlic mash served with a steak that I was served on Royal, being Swedish I prefer pommes frites. I guess that we will be disappointed and also delighted of the food served on a cruise, whether it is on MSC, Royal, Celebrity, Princess or some other. MSC is Italian and that is apparent when it comes to food and entertainment (and management ). Talking to the staff they confirm that the management is not as strict as on other cruise lines which comes down to the service given compared to other cruises. It also seems that the number of personel is lower than on other cruise lines which can also impact on service and wait times in bars and restaurants. I do agree that the standard buffet is quite limited as comes to choices and variety. But it comes down value for money and MSC is still cheaper than the other cruise lines. In Sweden a comparable cruise, same destination, length and cabin is 50% more expensive on Royal or Norwegian as is MSC.
In January me and my wife are booked on the new MSC World Europa from Dubai, in Yacht club, and we will be on Seascape from Miami in March, not in Yacht club, so I will compare the food between these two ships and experiences.
Yes, my cousin just returned from cruise on Meraviglia (first time on MSC) and that was his complaint as well, "Lack of food venues"

Can you order room service for breakfast if you are in a Bella cabin? I know room service for Bella would have an extra charge but the room service menus that I have seen don't seem to have any breakfast stuff on so I wanted to make sure that it is possible? I have seen special breakfast room service menus but are those just for other booking classes or can Bella guests also order from them at a charge too? Do you know if it would be possible to order breakfast to the room at 6pm or would that need to be within certain times? Thanks!!
I will be taking a 10 day in Sept; I've been curious if the different MDR have different menus? (I'll be on meraviglia, but seascape has similar restaurants and menus from what I can tell)

How many mdrs are there? Can you rotate them or do you have to stay at the same one? Are the menus different each night at the different mdrs? Which mdr would you suggest is the best?

It is $159 each for 4 restaurants, but one is the taco place.
What are the time slots for early dining vs late dining? On some sites, I saw Early is 5:30 & 7:30, and on some sites, I saw early means only 5:30 and late is either 7:30 or 9:30.
Early is 6pm and late is 8:30pm
Going to be on the ship in September with the all inclusive package I hope the food is good because I'm a picky eater

Oh no. And I thought the food on Celebrity Millennium wasn't that good. I've booked a cruise on MSC for September and now am worried.......And I've read so many bad reviews for MSC seaside, which is my ship. Okay now I am concerned....
The Seascape food was better than other MSC ships, the Seaside could be too.
Yeah I've read many bad reviews about Seascape and it turned out it was not bad at all. If there was a problem we would discuss it overthere on board with staff directly

They always brought the water in a bottle, but ours was in our package. I'm unsure if you could get non bottled now that you ask

I have a question on MSC dining. I always ask this about any cruisline because my husband and I both have food allergies. How is MSC with dietary restrictions and food allergies? Does anyone have good or bad stories on that? Thank you so much!
They don't seem very concerned about it, there aren't many signs about allergies.
How did you see what food they were going to be serving in the main dining room? Also, for my upcoming cruise, I dont see where to purchase the dining package, so I guess I will do that a la carte.
Also was the specialty dining prices cheaper for lunch?
The menus for upcoming days should be in the app, but they don't always show.

Cruises are ALL "what an individual likes" . Personally, I love MSC. Always best bang for the buck! Book Fantastica with Drinks/WIFI package or better on a newer ship and you will have a great time. BEST PIZZA on any ship!
I loved pizza on MSC Seaview - Mediterranean, is it same on other ships nad cruise?

It was included, but it said "free water package /non US, so it might not be on Miami sailings.
Does Seascape have a Solo traverlers daily meeting place?
It just depends on what nationalities are on board. There is a difference between Europe and the U.S.

They are included. We like the seaside better, but the Meraviglia is usually cheaper.

RC definitely more choices...but fare cost more on average...

How is MSC about passengers ordering multiple appetizers/entrees or desserts in the MDR?
We had no problem doing it
Is there soft serve ice-cream stations in the buffet area or pool deck area for kids? We will be traveling with kids in February.
There aren't any, there is a gelato stand but it isn't free.
We found that they do serve soft serve ice cream in the buffet at one station from 3:30-5:00 daily

Yes you can
So if the buffet or dining room are both closed you are just outta luck?
Basically, yes. The buffet is almost always open though.
Can you order more than one appetizer, main, and dessert during dinner in the dining room?
We did it quite often with no problem, most times they just brought extra without us asking. That was our waiter though, he was good.

I would have to disagree, I see plenty of choices for lunch from what I see. At least I didnt see any garbage mac n cheese,yuck!
All the food was crap on MSC Divina and we are not picky cruisers. The whole cruise except the ports was terrible! Never again!

For the past couple years, all of the MSC food videos have been pretty negative across the board. Then all of a sudden, in the last month, nearly every video has all of a sudden been really favorable with few criticisms. Your video seems to be pretty straightforward on the issues with MSC food options. It still does not look ready for "prime time."
