Wily is famously the self centered villain of the Mega Man Classic series, but in Archie, he almost changed.
What would have happened if Wily changed for the better?

I always wondered how the Mega Man Zero story would go if Axl was there. I think it would be a very interesting what if idea. Especially with Axl's reaction to Copy X and the Four Guardians.
Ok now that I’ve watched the video now it’s time for theory crafting.
Since in archi comics we know Mr X isn’t actually wily and is in fact his own person I can definitely see a scenario in which the x foundation becomes this what if’s big bad

"Monsteropolis"!? I did NOT expect to see a reference to one of the MANY random changes made to the story of Megaman 1 that was done in the manual for the western release!
Also, I was NOT expecting to see a Doc Robot as an ally character!

Both of those things are actually references to Archie
Right before Ra Moon began its takeover, the mayor of the city renamed it to Mega City in honor of Mega Man. I don’t believe they said what it was called originally, but I thought it would be a fun reference to make
And Doc Robot was Wily’s original plan to take out Mega Man, but it switched to Gamma once Wily saw it. So it only made sense that Wily would have at least started on Doc Robot

I thought of an interesting idea
What if it was *Dr.Light* that had went evil instead of Wily?
I would think Wily did turn good in the end, and not while alive but deep into the distant future as some remnant of his sentience in the maverick virus, especially if it was aware and saw what Zero achieved by the end of zero 4, I would imagine them watching Ragnarok burning up in the atmosphere...
[or put him in Isoc/Serges body or how you prefer to imagine... like Dr Light could be a cyber elf]
AI Dr.Light: You did it Albert... despite everything, you made a hero... who not only surpassed my final work but did what I hoped to achieve...
Virus Wily: And why do I feel so sad at the same time... watching his final act in achieving this?
AI Dr.Light: Because... in the end... he is your son... Albert... who truly has proven you are the better scientist.
Virus Wily: All those years wasted and so many dead or suffering... to have some of them back and change what happened in them...
AI Dr.Light: And yet because of them all, we have here and now.
This is a very interesting interpretation, and I really like it!
It makes sense with the flashback from Mega Man 11 where Wily wanted to make the Double Gear system so that robots could be heroes
I guess his dream did come true
Woah, i love watching what if stories based on dragon ball but i didn't knew other franchises like megaman also had those.
Really loved this and while i understand why you went through with archie instead of the games, would also be interesting to see this history on the games side, especially how it would affect later eras like the X era.

This is only the first part of this story, I plan on making a Part 2, which leads to the game canon
As we know from the end of Archie, the rest of the events play out like the game canon, so we will get to see where things would go

I would love wily was good
A interesting what if for me is what if Zero was never rebuilt after X1. I Kinda find the fact Zero somehow being rebuilt kinda bs. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I love Zero as much as the next guy but it's still kinda major plot armor moment for him. Plus it's be interesting because then Sigma will most likely continue to see X as the future of reploid kind instead of shifting his focus towards Zero x4 onwards. And X not having his best friend always having his back to support X when X needs it most.
A few ideas for this series would be
If X was the one to awaken instead of Zero
If Axl never decided to leave Red Alert
Those are on my list
