- The 18-year-old woman charged with aggravated murder in the death of her infant pleaded not guilty Monday in a Warren County court. Brooke "Skylar" Richardson is accused of killing, burning and burying her newborn baby in her backyard. Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said Richardson "purposely caused the death of the child." The prosecutor said authorities may never be able to say the exact medical cause of the baby's death because of the burning and decomposition that occurred between the time they believe the child was born on May 6 or 7 and when the child was found July 14.
If this girl didn't hve blue eyes and blond hair she would be sitting in jail until her trial the American justice system is very unfair.

So if she was a green eyed redhead she'd been denied bail? There are lots of things that go into determining bail, but non of which have anything to do with hair or eye color. If this girl was deemed a flight risk or a threat to others then she would be sitting in jail until her trial. You don't know all the facts in this case, privy to any evidence, or I'm guessing have any sort of legal degree or background. It will work itself out in the end.

Looks like she lost weight, since being on bond and her current trial.
She has been struggling with an eating disorder for awhile. She weighed like 90lbs during the trial. That's what immense stress can do.

$50k bail for murder!?!? I just beat 2 counts of attempted murder in California and my bail was at $1 million! I wasn’t convinced for any charge because i was obviously innocent, the system is fucked up!!!
She broke up with the baby's daddy after she got pregnant and then went to the prom with a new guy and she was then 8 months pregnant giving birth 2 days later. Now she is found not guilty. Talking about the baby was born stillborn.

She has said several times and often that she did not killer her daughter. That is a strong reliable denial. I believe her. The cops have one purpose, to get a confession at all cost, even if the truth is disregarded by them. Everything else she did should be used to convict her. There is no strong proof that her baby was alive when she came out.
The broken skull? And the brain trauma? How can a corpse have a trauma without blood flow? Why would you break the skull of a stillborn?

I really want to give her the benefit of doubt, I cannot say what I’d do at that age in this situation... although, it doesn’t look good as the evidence seems to be against her. My heart goes out to this young, uninformed girl who didn’t have the support she needed. That being said, I don’t think she should get white privilege leniency, and you know a person of color would be locked up for life over this.

Same I don't know her family Dynamics , that could if been the reason she kept it private for so long. She may was scared of people judging her. As for me I wouldn't care but some people feel as if they have to uphold a title then do crazy things when they don't.

But, I was raised with some Christian values.......so sex was not a priority. I was a virgin till 18......was raped.......cuz I'd stopped living that Christian Life. Got into all types of bad stuff......got pregnant at 18.....miscarried at 4 months. Or I would have given up for adoption or kept myself. I had a hard time killing flies.......let alone aborting a baby. Never have aborted.......had 3 babies in life.....all healthy....Thankfully. I'm only judging this girl on her actions, her words, etc. We are mostly all afraid of others judging us......we don't resort to this. @@henrymccomments some places have mandatory bail if the defendant meets certain criteria. a judge had to let someone out on bail and he killed again but he had no choice. the first time drug offense can get bail and still do time after the case is over.

Couldn't prove it was killed or still born, so could only be charged with tampering with the body. Which is weird in and of itself. If, someone died in my home and tried to hide it, you bet I'd be charged but with babies I guess it can be different. What I mean by that is, it's harder to prove murder or still birth with a baby as aposed to an adult. That would look more suspicious with adults.

I believe the baby was born still born or died shortly after... I don’t think she murdered the baby directly but indirectly through poor nutrition. Look how small her belly was at prom!! She was malnourished and that baby did not develop properly because of her trying to stay skinny!
