It's wonderful to see you looking so healthy :) We are only a family of four, but started supporting our local butcher during our long lockdown last year (Victorian), We buy meat packs and it is such great value. We also started ordering our fruit and vegetables from Bendigo fresh farms. The quality is amazing and everything stays fresh for so much longer than produce from the supermarket.
Great butcher haul! We love a meat market about half an hour away have the best sausages lots of fun flavors! Had to look up what Rissoles were in the US! They’re small meat patty enclosed in pastry or rolled in breadcrumbs!

Rissoles are mince meat with herbs, spices and chopped onion, rolled into balls and then shallow fried. They are like skinless sausages.
They dont have pastry...they are basically a small meat patty with bread crumbs around it.

Wow u gotta a lot of meat for a great price ! It’s crazy how expensive meat went up here in the US . Sweet planning on buying a half cow for the winter to pack our freezer up before winter .

Watching you put up your meat from the meat market reminds me of my grocery shopping when my kids were home but on a much smaller scale. I still have a hard time shopping for just myself. We buy all our meat from a butcher processor 3 hours from our home. He butchers our cow once a year 2 pigs every 6 months.. our beef & pork is raised by our friend 5 miles from our butcher shop. the price is so much cheaper he cuts & packages it the way I want it.. before when I had to cup up our frozen or fresh meat even today I use an electric knife. ITS AGOOD IDEA TO DO IT THIS WAY AS YOU ALWAYS NO WHAT YOU HAVE GREAT PRICE FOR THE AMOUNT OF MEALS YOU GET . I’ve just sat down after a mad rush to relocate frozen meat because we discovered our freezer died this afternoon! Luckily it t wasn’t full. Still had about 20kg of meat to squeeze into other freezers, thank goodness for our camping freezer! The occasional drawback for being organised!

Wow that was a very buy! Wish I could get that kind of prices here in Pennsylvania in US. Our meat prices have gone up quite a bit this last year and a half! But I need to find a better butcher!
I have a large family I don’t really make much ahead meals but I do do some meal prep and freeze stuff but I love watching ur meal prep videos anyway. I make rice pudding in bulk wish I could show you how I do it and I put them in individual containers they keep for 7days and my kids love them as a between meal snack or after school snack I just made a huge pot for $6 (reduced sale milk and cream) yay

Ive started to go to a wholesale butcher in Browns Plains as meat is more reasonably priced than that at supermarkets although do pick up bits when on special. Cannot believe the price of meat now its ridiculously priced. Stay well❤️
Prices have definitely increased and as our kids get older, their appetites increase too LOL It's hard to keep up sometimes. When I'm in the grocery store and we need the meats we like from there, I'll buy up plenty. Sometimes i also like to go to the butchers, they have different things and flavours (like the curried sausages) and it's good to try new tastes with the family. :-)
@@TheBonellFamily yes I agree with you 100%. My son and I bulk meat shop at Mega Meats have found meat to be good too as well as pricing. I do buy from supermarket if it’s a good special need to get value for money these days too. My son is raising children and the boys have hollow legs lol! My 700 Lt chest freezer is also a supermarket for his freezer at times for him, my way of helping and don’t mind. You do a wonderful job with your family your truly inspirational and so pleased to see you doing so well after your surgery but please try to not over do things. Keeping you and yours i. my prayers. That's an amazing deal 😊 I would love to be able to buy my meat like that but sadly we only have tiny ones attached to grocery stores and it's expensive and the same junk they sell already

It will last that long so long as we don’t use the meat for a lunch or have to add extra because of more people here for dinner
